So with those "11" pockets, you count the handcuff key "pockets"?

And the one thing I can't find anywhere; Where are these manufactured? I already understand that it's an American company founded by veterans, but that does not mean products are made in the U.S..

First suggestion: Reinforce the front part of your shorts and jeans where the wing or claw of your AIWB holster resides.
One year into wearing both Vertx and 5.11 shorts/pants has effectively worn thin the material where that wing/claw is located. Is this something that can be covered under warranty or does that option not exist? Also worth mentioning is that not all holster manufacturers are the same. Those wings/claws tend to move around more than one would anticipate. Perhaps some sort of extra material to create a shallow pocket of sorts would be beneficial in keeping that wing/claw from excessive movement.
I often found that the wing/claw would sometimes slip under the belt line causing significant discomfort. Other times that wing/claw would work its way above my belt line, essentially causing me to readjust my entire AIWB rig. This may sound like a holster issue rather than a clothing issue - but the two work hand in hand. It is incredibly hard to convey what I mean by a "shallow pocket". Think of it in the sense that there is no real depth to the pocket. It is more along the lines of a lip of sorts if that makes any sense. I believe you are calling them "hatch pockets" if I am hearing that correctly?
Second suggestion: Bulging. For reference, I carry appendix style using the T1C Axis Slim holster. The way my holster rides in front causes my pants to bunch up around the zipper causing an unnecessary bulge. One of our girlfriends pointed this out a while back. She says "It looks like the old pants boners you guys used to get back in the day". What she means by "pants boner" is that bunching/folding of pants material in front of the zipper area.
For some odd reason, all AIWB holsters tend to create this unsightly bulge which causes people to look down at that area in bewilderment. That defeats the purpose of going greyman in public. Unfortunately, I do not have a solution for said problem off the top of my head. Perhaps some of the brilliant minds there at Vertx could brainstorm some ideas to address this issue.
Keep up the good work my friends.

Its just the combination of your holster and how you actually wear your pants or even what you're carrying. I appendix carry and it doesn't do that to me.

The RATTS Tourniquet is your EDC Tourniquet and I greatly appreciate the ability to run it through my coin pocket. That being said… please start adding another coin pocket to the left front pocket so I can choose which side to run my tourniquet on. Thank you for making such a fantastic pair of pants that doesn’t stand out or scream, look at me! I have a gun!
