If you 'Put on Christ' you walk in the laws of God as Christ did; John 13:15; 1 John 2:6; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:6; 2 Corinthians 12:18,19; Galatians 3:26,27; Philippians 3:18-19; Revelation 16:15.
The atonement has been done NOT your walk of faith in Christ that's up to YOU to WALK in faithfully. Your fruits are the evidence of your works. To Come to Christ is to *PUT ON* the new man in Christ. There's nothing hard about denying yourself to walk in Christ' steps. For he said my yoke is easy & my burden is light (Matt.11:29,30).
1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an *Example* that you should follow his steps
1 John 2:6 He that said he stays in him ought himself also so to Walk, even as He Walked.

Jesus didn't fight our battle for us. We must walk in faith as Christ did being ChristLIKE. Christ said to pick up your cross & follow after him. He showed us *The Way* to overcome the wicked one by his *Example* & he said "'He that *OVERCOMES* the same will be clothed in white raiment; and I will *not* blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, & before his angels.' Rev.3:5.
Jesus also said... Revelation 3:21 'To him that *OVERCOMES* will I grant to sit with me in my throne, EVEN AS, I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.'
The blood atonement forgives us of our PAST sins aka 'tresPASSES' & gives us the strength to Walk in Victory over the wicked one; Matt.6:14; Rom.8.

I think God does help those who help themselves. And who ever said don't ask for help if you need it? This just seems like an excuse song to be a slacker.

I love that they are praising Jesus but I just think this is such a filler song. Not very good lyrically.
