3:55 mark gives the first view of Gravel Hill Church founded in 1770’s as Antioch Church by Alexander McPherson who settled in Sinking Creek from Newport, MD. He would build the first school house as well. In 1835 his son Jacob was instrumental in building the church that is seen upon a Gravel Hill. That church is a treasure and a living monument to the early settlers and my 5th great grandfather.
Craig County is one of the few counties in VA I haven't been to yet. Planning on going next month after a 757 -> Cumberland Gap trip. I hear Swinging Bridge has good buffalo burgers.
You passed me driving lol , also the overlook at 10:37 is actually my least favorite of the ones we have in craig, the Potts mountain overlook is way better if you prefer to look at the natural landscape over the city of New Castle.
@@jmvfrva Gosh don't lose interest! You've sparked dreams of adventure and freedom on the road. Amazing choice of music. Do you play any music yourself?
Amazing Video and It’s Drive! I Would Love to see More of the Appalachian Mountains Someday
Thanks Syrup for watching.
Look at my Route 33 and Route 250 videos if you want to see more Mountains.

Are you serious? At what point in the video did I pass you. Thanks for the overlook recommendation. I hope to get back there one day.
Awesome video!
This is the type of road that make a driving a nice RWD V8, V6 4 door sportts sedan.
Oh hell yes. But that day I was driving a Mini Cooper.
I was in that school bus
If you were, that is great. Where do you live?
That is my old TH-cam channel
6:22 my house 😂
@@G4BB1E-g1h that’s cool.
You are doing pretty much every road in Virginia, except Route 11. You avoid it like the plague, why?
Just haven't been out much lately. I've lost interest in putting these out. Maybe things will change in the future. Who knows.
