- Yesterday TTC CLRV #4003 was delivered to our museum, the Halton County Radial Railway!
#4003 was built in 1978 by "Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft" (SIG) in Switzerland.
It was retired in October after 40 years of service. #4003 is now a part of our huge collection of vintage streetcars. Old Toronto streetcar #327 was also brought out for a photoshoot with the recently acquired cars.
Thank you to all our volunteers for getting these streetcars off the delivery trucks and onto the rails on our property.
This video was shot and edited by HCRR volunteer Trevor Parkins-Sciberras.

Ahhhhhh so nice seeing them happily surviving there from the scrapper.
Excellent job!
Wish the same would be said for the H series
Yea
Awesome to see one of the SIG built ones surviving. I hope this'll be operational when you guys reopen!
Beautifully edited video of this delivery. My 3 year old son now wants to watch the "old one" streetcar coming off of the truck every night before bed.
Glad to see the preservation movement keeps up with the times!
Awesome. I remember seeing 4001 undergoing testing on Bathurst in 1980. Sweet
Nice hopefully this car and 4204 get restored and operate this summer!
The chances of that ever happening is slim it’s to big for the east end turn.
@@sammcaninch4644 isn't there any loop that the ALRV would be to go around without issue?
Yeah but I’m talking about specifically at the museum
@@sammcaninch4644 that's what I meant.
Yeah I know. I kinda wish it would be operating too.
Move over Witt and PCC, time for the next generation to be preserved.
they will operate as well too Especially old 327
0:57 TTC CLRV is survived from scrap heap 😊I used to ride those
4003 is one of the original CLRV's, who ever works on it make sure you have metric tools. 4010 is the only CLRV that a trip arm installed in the front just below the skirt which when activated caused the car to go into emergency, track brakes drop, sand comes down on the rail, no cradle like the ALRV's have.
Whats the music?
Will this streetcar or the ALRV be operating at the museum?
Stay tuned for an official announcement. Do you follow our Facebook or Instagram pages?
@@StreetcarMuseum I will be sure to check! Thanks! By the way, I saw one of the museum staff displaying a collection of photos on the last day of the ALRV's operation!
@@FelixAn You did?
@@E-sterOfficial Yes! I forgot his name, but he was the one with the glasses.
@@StreetcarMuseumwhat’s the music that was used in this video?
I didn't realize that the museum used wide gauge .as all ttc rolling stock Is.
I was always curious on how they transferred train cars. I assumed a crane.
Awesome. I wish Exporail in Quebec has one. 😕
Greetings from Streetcar land (Modern one) Jason K
Not sure the museum will ever open in winter.

@@alexanderip1003 Yea

Yeah, duh. Look at their website.
Do the streetcars still transmit their NextBus GPS locations?

I have a very bad selfie of myself, purposely taken against the CLRV 4000 number inside the rear of the car; on or about the 3rd day of its revenue service.
