The Lord tells us that heaven is like a wedding feast, and today, on the Feast of All Saints, I stumbled upon this wonderful video. Early in my career, I was a librarian at Sam Houston State University, where my job enabled me to meet many students. I vividly recall the mother of the groom, Nani. She was beautiful, serene, and always very kind. I think she played tennis. Her boyfriend (now her husband), Bart, was charismatic, dynamic, and popular, a BMOC (Big Man on Campus). I think he played lacrosse. Now, some 35 years later, I am seeing Nani & Bart in this video! They are easily recognizable. And I recognize their traits in Reid. I say rosaries for people in between sets at the gym, and during my long distance runs. I try to combine the physical and the spiritual. I am adding Tori & Reid and their families to my daily prayers. On earth we usually don't see the results of our prayers, but when we die, God will show us the great good that they did for others.
