      Check out Koh Tao, Thailand when you're ready....... You can actually get and SSI Dive Master Cert and move on to the PADI instructor course as PADI accepts SSI certs for advancement..... The only thing PADI doesn't accept is the SSI instructor course as a cross-over...... my plan is to take the SSI Dive Master and then pay for the more expensive PADI instructor course which SSI recognizes.... therefore, you can be both a PADI and SSI instructor for the least amount of money spent...... Koh Tao, Thailand is the cheapest place in the world to obtain diving certs for both PADI and SSI....... Scuba Club in Koh Tao is the best dive center to work with.... trust me, i made a few mistakes before learning this the hard way after spending a month in Koh Tao......... Check out Scuba Club, Koh Tao and do price comparisons around the world..... better yet.... google "cheapest places to dive in the world".......... Best of luck on your training and diving adventures!!!

      +neville grech Rescue Diver Course or a Specialty Course :)

    • @PADI
      @PADI  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi +neville grech, the most common path a diver takes after completing their PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is the Rescue Diver course. You can learn more about this and other courses via the following link: www.padi.com/scuba-diving/padi-courses/course-catalog/rescue-diver. Happy diving!

    • @Aspenetric
      @Aspenetric 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm taking the course right now. It depends on the person. You have to do knowledge test, and pass confined water skills like your local swimming pool and then open water like going into a lake or ocean/sea. You learn to put together your equipment and other stuff. The knowledge test is what you have to complete first in order to get yourself certified. There is 5 Sections you need to complete. Diving is awesome. :)
