Happened to me on my last trip, found out the robot was going, found out a temporary retro store was closing a week before I arrived. I am going to Japan soon so will see this store
man some crazy prices there! noticed they have announcements in english too? assuming they get a lot of english-speaking traffic there. at least some of that megadrive stuff looked reasonably priced.
is that GB sealed? I paid way less years ago :-) been at the shop just these days. some good things, but prices are of course high for rarer stuff. did not want to pay that. collecting going to far. i think dracula is sold, but they have rare gamecube prize game for 900 dollars. the service there lacks a bit. and not tax return. better off at other stores who give tax return in Akihabara. BUT Traders has some stuff that I did not see at other stores. sadly there is no boxed pikachu N64 no more. for 50k would have taken it.
Not a bad new place mate & wish the prices were affordable! I would have to say those Neo Geo AES games where great to see even Garou Densetsu 2 is one of my favorite arcade games ever!
It's just the way things are in akihabara these days it's a nice museum. The average games I'd say are not too bad tho. Thank again brother falcom. Study up on that Japanese man 😉🇯🇵👉🕹
Practically everything I am looking for behind glass and matching prices that will set my bank account on fire. Thanks for a glimpse of what staring at the sun is like for me.
I am the same, the prices are a bit high. Even if I did buy some of those games i'd be coming back with an almost empty suitcase because of how expensive they are. 4 titles I would like are $2500
Ah you discovered Zoo Zoo Zoo for the Mega Drive. Didn't know the name of the japanese version. In Europe and the US it's called Rollo to the Rescue. It's a cool strategy Plattformer developed but EA. Sadly the controlls are super slippery. That's why I sold it. PC Genjin for the PS2 was part of some hudsonsoft classics that were reborn. Also released for GameCube. Other reborn titles were Star Soldier and Adventure Island.
Tarumaru on the Saturn isn't really a beat em up, its a scolling adventure game like Shinobi.. I'm coming there in about a month but I won't pay those prices, my whole budget would be gone on about 4 titles. I'm semi interested in Dracula FC but its $500. I think I should do Nagoya first lol. I'll definitely visit Trader 3 though for the semi expensive stuff.
Nice man. I knew it was one of thoese games. It has very Raiden vibes with the main character. It's been one I'd like to own one day however unfortunately priced it may be 😲
@@ScruffyLookinRGB Yeah, the story goes Time Warner Japan was going bust and they got this release out by the skin of their teeth. There are a maximum of 7500 copies and its a Japanese exclusive. I could of bought it new, but its Japanese name, artwork and lack of news on it meant it didn't get picked up on my radar. Saturn was arcade ports for me, which were language safe. I did however, pick up Street Fighter Zero 3 RAM pack on Saturn, which is probably in my top 3 most expensive games.
Prices in Akihabara are so fucking high these days. Basically only worth it if you manage to find rarer things you haven't been able to find anywhere else.
@@ScruffyLookinRGB Yeah man like I went to my local BookOff here and common retro games, loose carts, take SMB3 for example, goin for like $28-$35 USD. Like r u kidding me? lol
okay. so today I went back to TRADERS and Mandarake. Found one VB game there, sadly no tax return as said, but well. At M found one laserdisc. Sadly, they do not have many to choose off, but always good to go to shops a few times as their stock changes daily.
Again, yikes those prices, nothing terribly cheap in this one. As for Rainbow Islands Wonderswan, just swap out Bub and Bob with Patty, and you pretty much have the EXACT same game as Rainbow Islands, nothing else besides the playable character has changed. You see Bub and Bob in cutscenes, but they aren't on the adventure this time. Seems pretty much a straight port of RI, with a character swap. That PC Genjin PS2 game, also came out for the Game Cube, just a revamped version of the original Bonk's Adventure, nothing else.
Nope cheap doesn't exist very often in akihabara these days its over run with tourists as it always has been. But the world is making up for the 4 years of no travel to Japan. I'll have to check out the revamped bonk. Is it better on gc or ps2? I wonder🤔

Crazy prices but great selection. 😃🔥👍🥳
You got that right!
Such a bummer. Was there in Tokyo earlier this week when they were still closed :(
Sorry you missed out on it. I'm sure you enjoyed many of the other shops tho. 👍🏻✨️

You betcha crazy prices and loads of English speaking tourists in akihabara these days for sure👍🏻✨️
Nice store ! I think one of my favourites store is friends in Akiba . I found some treasures there in my last trip .
Friends is a nice little shop unfortunately it has downsized from 2 floors to 1 these days.
I'm sad I missed this but looking at the prices that might have been for the best haha
Unfortunate yet true. Save that doe 🤑

Wow 😳 so much to see! Great titles and high prices. Gotta to pay rent some how. pick up anything?
Didn't grab anything, but that parodius was very tempting.
Nice to see a new traders but sadly it's crazy expensive because it's in Akiba.
But when I see this I just want to go back :')
I understand. Prices in akiba are quite expensive, especially with the low yen 💴

That's too bad about the slippery controls. But thoese other ps2 rebirths of star soldier and adventure island sound great 😉👍🏻✨️🕹
Prices are insane.
Just take a train one hour in any direction and you’ll find good deals

So, akihabara is back up to 3 trader locations?
They closed the other one across the street from this one. To open the current behemoth of a store 👍🏻✨️
Lukemorse1 has a lot to answer for :D
Not sure what you mean by that but Luke is a cool dude.
lmao @ the prices.
Hi🎮😎📺
dang super expensive
You can say that again 🤑

Yeah retro prices sadly keep going up. It's no better here in the states.
Akihabara is catching up to the prices in the states unfortunately 😕
