      @@joneszim680 If you're using a good stack, you actually will be saving money on average typically - the issue is that it's very very common for a streak of rolls to be an outlier from the average and be VERY expensive.
      If you click 1,000 times, you'll land close to the average. If you click 20 times, you might have an absolute aberration of RNG and waste it all.
      Enhancing is for people who think gambling is fun and for people who will do it so many times that the law of large numbers applies and they get average luck. It's not for people looking to actually progress their own gear.

    25:55 you should play both, honestly a lot of people quit BDO cuz is a LOT of grind and they got burned out, i've been playing this game for 4 years and what i do to stay motivated to play BDO is to change activities, if you get burned out of grinding, try doing life skill or try doing some PvP or try a new class, or sometimes you need to play another game and that is totally fine. So i'd say, try BDO and when you feel overwhelmed stop and play something else.
    NEVER BLOW UP YOUR GEAR: 22:04, people also like to be dramatic when they quit a game, (they take screenshots about how they uninstalled X game and shit like that) on BDO people like to "roulette" their gear when they are about to quit, what that means basically is that the enhancement system has a "backwards" progression. if you have a weapon or armor you can enhance it from +0 to +15 and the % of success is gonna decrease the higher you get but if it fails you just lose the materials you used and that's it. From +15 follows "PRI, DUO, TRI, TET, PEN", and the enhancement gets more difficult, if you have a DUO weapon and want to enhance it to TRI there would be a chance that it will fail, and if it does, your weapon goes back to PRI (it can't go down to +15 if you fail on PRI, so PRI is like a "checkpoint"), that is the backwards progression. However, you can use another material called "cron stones" that prevents your weapon from downgrading if it fails. For accessories is harder because if you fail an enhancement it blows up but there is not +0 to +15, there is just PRI DUO TRI TET PEN, but if it fails you lose it, you can use cron stones to prevent them from blowing up but they can still downgrade, so accessories are hard to enhance. What i want to say is, you should never gamble all your money, you should be prepared to fail if you want to enhance, have a back up weapon or accessory, or get a lot of money to afford failing a few times, because it will fail, A LOT. The % are so low that getting a PEN is a really hard work, but that is a good thing about the game, when you get it you get it, done, and your gear is forever.
    People that want to quit BDO like to gamble all the money and all their gear without having any back up, then it fails and lose all the progress they made, or people want to get X item and it fails and they get really frustrated so they quit the game. However, YOU DON'T NEED TO GAMBLE AT ALL. If you are afraid to lose your items, or you want a more linear progression, or you just hate the enhancement system, you can buy all the gear from the market place, there is another people that all they do is to enhance stuff and sell them on the market so people that don't want to enhance can buy them. You can get to end game without enhancing any single time, but tbh gambling is not that bad as long as you know what you are doing, you can go to a casino and have fun without losing all your money, same with BDO.

      @@papychuloveutjouer Yeah no problem, is a tough game to learn the basics and what i recommend for new people is that you should set short time goals in the game, like doing the season, or finishing the main quest line, or buy a cheap item that you think might be useful, stuff like that, because if you set big goals you are going to feel overwhelmed, is a masive game with a lot of depth in each mechanic, so you should start step by step

    this is hands down best MMORPG out there, you can do anything however you want and no other MMORPG contests the graphics and combat of BDO

    • @Luca48882
      @Luca48882 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are we still in the ice age that people prefer graphics over gameplay? If you like that combat style play some fighting game that is way more skilled in both inputs and has no gear involved. Like Street Fighter, Tekken etc. Graphics don't matter at all if your game is meh. It's like having a sports car but driving like your grandma. Game is plagued by the infinite sidegrade and illusory progression system that defines every single asian p2w game, has useless grinding and poor endgame content derived from the fact that you cannot balance pve with the korean mentality. Like, once you take the boss damage out of the equation by going no heals because we're not pussays mindstyle you basically remove one metric of balance and it becomes really hard to create interesting encounters. Same as Tera and Lost Ark. That's why these games usually have insane curves of endgame gear progression because otherwise you'd be hardstuck in need of perfecting a fight or get oneshot. And that's without even touching on the artificial barriers, useless complexity and restriction of the ten thousand menus and interfaces. It's a game literally designed to waste your fcking time while you're watching under your girl's skirt and fap at the pc

    I want you to try out BDO!

  • @Lothkru
    @Lothkru ปีที่แล้ว +4

    It's not like Lost Ark btw, in Lost Ark you become a slave of the enhance system, since the vertical progression is too steep, you have to enhance over and over and over every so often, because there's new gear too often. In BDO the enhance system reaches a point where you don't need to keep going, because there's no new gear that often, and there's a big difference, like if you have the best gear now, that will be the best gear for at least a couple of years and it will still be relevant by the time new gear comes to the table (weapons and armor haven't change in a long ass time, the new gear right now are accesories that are not thaaat much of a difference with the previous best accessories).
    If you don't like enhancing, you can just straight up buy the gear from someone else in the marketplace (like what stoopz showed about the weapon he wants). It requires time to grind to get the silver to buy a PEN BS, but it's better than dealing with the the enhancing imo. Also, there're often events where you get Failstacks (every time you fail your % of success increases and there are items that give you those increases by just using them) and protection items like Crons or Jhammers (this items are to prevent downgrade in gear and to prevent losing the accesories). I personally just try enhancing when these events happen, if it fails well, I just lost a couple of min and keep grinding to buy whatever I want, if it succeeds, great, luck was on my side that day xD

    The good thing is you can Do basically anything without being any near to end game geared.

  • @KingJerbear
    @KingJerbear ปีที่แล้ว +3

    BDO is an amazing game... but there are so many convoluted systems in place, a new player is BOUND to be overwhelmed - no matter what they do. But if you can stick it out through the early days, it becomes one of the most rewarding experiences in gaming. Figuring out all these weird systems and mechanics actually becomes such a satisfying endeavor in itself. But mostly the combat is just insane, you can spend so many hours playing a class and just continue to improve more and more which is what makes "endlessly grinding mobs" so incredibly fun. Then one day you'll decide to try a different class and get to experience that whole thing over again. It's basically like the more you decide to invest into learning a class (combos, movement, cooldowns, animation cancels), the more fun it becomes to play. I equate it to like playing an instrument: sure it's fun to play twinkle little star for the very first time, but the real reward comes when you learn your favorite song or write your own music. I'm sure PvP is amazing too, but I haven't even given it a fair shake in several years of playing.

    Going P2W in this game is very expensive and punishing that only a small fraction of the player base do it. Also having 35 limit costume purchase per week hinders P2W progression. A $30-40 costume is equivalent to an F2P player 1-hour of killing mobs. Going P2W is so not worth it.

    BDO enhancing is bad but it isn't as bad as you think it is. Your accessories break and your gear degrades if you fail and enhancement but you can prepare beforehand to mitigate those inevitable loses like getting a duplicate of your gear before you enhance or have enough resources to get your items back to where it was. You only lose progress if you decide to lose progress, the game gives you the freedom to enhance safely but slowly, or do a risky enhance for quick progress but you may lose progress in the process. I personally prepare before I enhance my gear so I can feel that I'm actually progressing, im now at 710gs. You can also buy your gear from the central market if you want to play the safest and get rid of the RNG bullshit, but I personally want my name engraved on my gear so I enhance.
