    Your videos are recommended by YB several times to me, which always made me all day. There is some kind of power in your art. Love it

    Great video! I love windows and I’ve always liked painting the idea of looking out the windows or even looking in the windows at night when there’s a light on and it’s dark out. This is giving me some wonderful ideas. Thank you

    I love this! Doors are my favourite things to draw but I love the windows in Singapore, especially in the historic districts

    You are helping me so, so much to learn how to let go and be free. I get tangled up in the details and trying to get everything just right. You on the other hand just paint freely and loosely and if you have an oops you just go with it and wind up with beautiful ART anyway. . Thank you for sharing with me how to do things differently and BETTER.

    Very helpful video, thank you! I tend to only paint beaches plein air because buildings scare me, as they are harder to simplify. I’m definitely interested in trying urban sketches now 😊

    I enjoyed this video tutorial a lot , you really make it very easy to follow , the opened window would have been a bigger challenge for me, but you show us here how it is done the angles of the lines shows the vantage point using the white gel
    Pen makes it work , and showing us the different ways to draw the vertical windows is interesting , the horizontal ones are pretty challenging to me but it’s always good to practice for me , I think I’ve learned much from this video , and I love drawing windows and buildings 😊

    This video is so helpful. I have found this channel since I started out watercolour a few years ago, and have been a subscriber of this channel since. Always so much insights 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    I enjoyed this video, i like the vertical window layout the angles and perspective, the opened window is very interesting to draw, the white gel pen helps that work well to create the effect your looking for, I feel like some drawings that are done in both pencil ad pen often look better without paint, I look at my sketches and say well does this look better by itself or painted? in the case of buildings with windows I think the watercolor enhances the drawings, you do make this easy to follow along with,

    Hey parko 👋🏻 Can you make a tutorial on how to preserve highlights during painting. my drawing looks flat there is no depth in it

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Focus on getting the contrast right. Highlights are only highlights when surrounded by darker tones. Usually the lack of depth is due to the lack of contrast. You can create depth with line art, followed by tonal value (contrast), followed by colours.
