Not sure if you are aware, but only the 1st MV was a cover. The 2nd MV was a medley of actual dreamcatcher songs sung with Chinese lyrics penned by Handong herself. She naturally gravitates towards ballads due to the quality of her voice and the fact that Chinese pop tends to be more biased towards slower songs and ballads.

This is the most mellow and laid back Dreamcatcher reaction you'll have for about one year. Handong vs. the Korean Language (currently 3 parts) is not to be missed. There is also Dongie's Reaction to **things** by Driim that is just a collection of the faces she pulls. Besides her voice and personality, her muscles are insane (and fill me with envy). Dongie in sleeveless is just... For clarity, in Mandarin her family name is Han and her personal name is Dong, which combined to make the Korean stage name Handong. Dong and Dongie are her actual real name, but saying them with the D too strong is a different letter in Korean that turns the word into "poop". 동 a savage cheeky singer, 똥 poop.

Dong in a sleeveless shirt and or crop top is unfair.. just about as JiU.

Dongie’s first solo debut was in China with Dawn. Winter is her Korean solo song that she wrote and arranged I believe, the title is also a play on her name as the Mandarin characters used for her name in Chinese mean’s Winter. I love hearing her sing in Chinese probably just as much if not more then Korean, there is something about her singing in her mother tongue that hits different. Her voice is so pretty, elegant. Nights into Days is her second Korean solo as all the others are covers with the exception of Winter and her Chinese translated melody of DreamCatcher songs. She said she translated july 7th into Chinese, but I have not heard that.
The Dong that left for China was shy and lacked some confidence while still being savage, the Dong that came back is full of confidence and has thus made her less shy, though she is still savage and playful.
Dongie is vary much a cat- sometimes she wants attention and sometimes she doesn’t. she can be cheeky and playful like a cat, and be independent. Dongie is the only one that can say or do things that would get for her members hit, chased or pushed by SuA. While they can all be memes, Siyeon, JiU, Gahyeon and Dong have the best expressions.
The songs from the melody- A Heart of Sunflower (one of my favorite ballads), Jazz bar (a top 10 non ballad b-track), Daybreak, Polaris (favorite ballad)
Dreamcatcher- Suitcatcher, Gaycatcher, memenatcher, laughcatcher, loudcatcher, muscle or strongcatcher, _____catcher..

Just like to add that Handong's name in Chinese *sounds* similar like winter. Her surname is Han(韩), and name is Dong(东), which literally means east.
寒冬 (also pronounce the same as han dong) means cold winter.
So her song Winter is a play on how Handong's name sounds like, rather than her actual name's meaning.

I have so much empathy for Handong, having come to work in a country that speaks a language she wasn't totally proficient in at the time. She's really incredible. And I love her voice and her snark so much

@@BexaReacts ...also, Dongie came to Korea to study first, but ended up auditioning and getting accepted to become a member of Dreamcatcher without her parents knowing abt it. Off course, once she made it, her parents didn't have a choice but to let her follow her dreams as part of Dreamcatcher. Btw...her Korean name is Kim Handong. The girls call her Kim Handong, Dongie calls herself Kim Handong and even variety shows like Tong Tong Culture, they also call her Kim Handong. 😊

I love her rendition of the first song. It's not easy covering Taeyeon's songs and she nailed it. Hopefully you can react to Taeyeon in the future, she's my favorite vocalist from Korea lol.

So proud of Dongie. Nights into Days is only her second complete song in Korean, a language she couldn't speak at all when she came to South Korea in 2016. It really hasn't been very long since the time the company wouldn't let her appear alone because of her language mistakes. The US State Department puts the Korean language in Category 4, which contains the most difficult languages in the world to learn. Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and Korean. She's come so far and the name Kim Handong really suites her now.
