The hull is equipped with sensors to detect structural stress amid the high pressures of the deep ocean. The wreckage of the Titanic itself is 13,000 feet beneath the ocean. The Titan (Submarine) lost communication with the main ship 1 hour, and 45 minutes into their descent, and is estimated to have only made it about 2 miles below the surface of the ocean before losing communication. Additionally, the Titan (Submarine) only has about 96 hours of life-support (oxygen) to sustain a small crew of 5. And the submarine is sealed shut from the outside with 17 bolts, which means escape is not possible for anyone on board. I just hope the submarine, and her crew are all found, and returned safely.

    • @LunarHexus
      @LunarHexus ปีที่แล้ว

      Update! : Sadly, 2 debris fields were found approximately 1,600 feet from the Bow of the Titanic Wreckage. The U.S. Coastguard confirmed that the debris has been positively identified as belonging to the Titan Submersible, and is consistent with the submersible having suffered a Catastrophic Loss of the Pressure Chamber in an Implosion, which killed all 5 passengers onboard the craft. The U.S. Navy had sound detectors that detected sound consistent with an Implosion on Sunday (the same day that the Titan Submersible went missing). It has since been learned that on the same day the Titan Submersible lost all communication, power, and navigation, that is when the Implosion occurred.
      The only solace that the families of the 5 crew members can take is knowing that their loved ones did not suffer, and that they felt no pain. The implosion happened in a matter of milliseconds, death was instantaneous to all onboard.
      The implosion occurred at approximately 3,500 feet 1 Hour, and 45 minutes into it’s descent. Additionally, only 2 pieces of the Titan Submersible were found in one piece, the tailcone (the pointed end of the submersible), and the Front Porthole (the front end of the submersible). The pressure chamber (the hull) of the submersible had disintegrated in the Implosion, and is now in several pieces that lay scattered on the sea floor.
      The cause of the implosion is BELIEVED to be delamination of the Carbon-Fiber Composite that the Submersible was made out of. Delamination occurs when a material begins to separate after multiple pressure cycles, leading to degradation of said material over time. Sadly, the Titan had endured multiple pressure cycles since 2020, leading to the delamination, and degradation of it’s hull. This has led to a catastrophic implosion of the submersible that has sadly claimed 5 lives.
      Multiple international government agencies are currently investigating the incident, as it occurred in International Waters, and 4 of the 5 crew members were Foreign Nationals.
      The NTSB is currently looking into the possibility of (Federal) Criminal Charges being levied against Ocean Gate, as there were several safety laws that were violated during the design, construction, and use of the Titan Submersible.
      Additionally, the Titan Submersible had not been certified, nor had it been classed by any government agency. And it has recently been learned that Ocean Gate had requested to have the Titan Submersible certified once, but that request was swiftly denied. Questions have been raised about the possibility of the remains of the victims who were onboard the Titan being found, and brought back to the surface. At a depth of 3,500 feet below sea level, the force from the pressure that caused the Submersible to Implode would have crushed everyone onboard, and caused their remains to disintegrate. And given that their remains have been lying on the sea floor for about a week now, it is highly unlikely that there is anything left to bring home to their families.
      In addition, e-mails have been released from the CEO of Ocean Gate (who was the founder of Ocean Gate, and the Pilot, and inventor of the Titan Submersible), wherein he had been warned several times by many experts in the field that the Titan Submersible was potentially dangerous to be carrying passengers onboard, and that more care needed to be taken in reguards to any sea trials. Ocean Gate’s CEO responded to the criticism with defensive arrogance, and proceeded to threaten legal action against anyone who criticized him, or the Titan Submersible.
      Additionally, a former employee of Ocean Gate, an engineer, was fired in 2018 after publicly speaking-out against the use of Titan Submersible as a Commercial Vessel, citing that flammable materials were being used in it’s development, and that the overall design of the Submersible was fatally flawed.
      In essence, there were many warnings that went unheeded, which has now led to a catastrophic event and major loss of human life.
      Ocean Gate has since taken it’s website down, and has more, or less remained silent in the aftermath of this tragedy.

That buoy should have an auto-release function meaning whatever happened to the crew it gets released so that's odd. The sub should have an emergency ascent feature; anything goes wrong you drop a weight and up you go. ALVIN had this in 1964. Unless you're stupid enough to try and enter the ship there's nothing to get snagged on. Lastly, a complete hull failure would be an instant and painless death. I have heard of treasure hunting in sunken wreckage of ships with valuable cargoes…in the oceans 🌊 of planet earth…
    Obviously, it’s a niche and adventurous vocational choice…and I am guessing that it’s a hobbyist and exploration spirit-types…lifestyle of passion. So more a second part time, hobby or job of passions scenario? I don’t know exactly what the status of sunken treasures is…at such depth and the passage of over 100 years of time? I gather, it’s probably a maiden (first attempt) voyage to the Titanic gravesite? For this specifically, purpose build-bespoke manned submarine? And the crew of 5 are not exactly tourists…
    They are researchers from the various specialists field’s involved, with the concept of either raising specific sections of the Titanic wreckage (vault’s etc.)? Or mapping out for future dives in the tactical missions to gain accessibility and salvage operations for extraction of gold bullion or other treasure that would be a valuable asset, at auction… any authentic iconic pieces of the Titanic wreckage’s fuselage, to fetch a-hefty price tag on the rare collectibles markets? I am sure plenty of billionaires would outbid each other; for some bell or steering wheel, etc… with or without any titanic emblems…?
    The passenger’s are reported to be, “researchers” and crew members vital to the operation of this “one of a kind” craft. Built specifically in order to explore the Titanic’s grave! And I expect the motivation for this endeavor is a quasi-mystical adventure to a morbid tragedy grave-of-sunken treasure’s? I suspect that it’s ultimately a financially motivated-spirit of adventure and gold-miners…get rich quick or die trying… type adventures pass time scenario… like all other researchers; in this niche’s (treasure hunter’s quest) type-story. Involves a few rich guy’s investing some of their millions; in a venture of treasure hunt and the attempt to pull off a caper-so far fetched and unlikely to succeed in…
    That it’s just an idea, wild enough for the fantasy adventure types; to think…”we could pull it off”?
    Ultimately, it’s just a foolish idea that involves taking great risks. Investment of millions 💵 purpose building this customized submarine manned craft-capable of operations in the depth and conditions involved THEORETICALLY!!! And it’s crewmen are explorers with specific specialties-required for the task of bringing the sunken treasures to the surface and market? The $250k price tag-is just price for admission to participate in the scheme of the treasure hunt. And it’s not at all, tourists willing to risk themselves for a chance to see the grave of a famous wreckage…in a never before attempt to look through a camera in darkness where no living creatures will survive…?
    It’s just a bunch of treasure hunters who think they can invest a few millions in this treasure hunting the Titanic grave site…and salvage stuff from it-to fetch billions of returns from investments…
    They probably just discovered the craft they built for the caper, in theory. Was not fit for purposes and real world conditions-in practice? And if they have accomplished something like, approaching the Titan remains… as planned? They went too far and got too close, or took one too many risky maneuvers… In attempt to map out the remaining wreckage of Titanic. And it’s possibilities for salvage treasures-in follow up dives…
    So I don’t think it’s rich guy’s interested in seeing whatever remains of Titanic-through some camera onboard a custom made sub-welded together by sub marine enthusiasts in some Everest Washington workshops…fishing for bragging rights at country club dinner parties… to be the first multi-millionaires involved with pleasure tripping 20000 leagues under the frozen Atlantic frozen oceans tundras…to hopefully illuminate the wreckage of Titanic-with an onboard flashlight beaming back grainy images of the gravesite… to be recorded and annualized ba

    • @michaelsalansky1367
      @michaelsalansky1367 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ultimately, it’s probably not the last such attempt at scavenging the Titanic remains for treasure. Several expeditions tragedies-ended in fatalities, from unsuccessful attempts to plant a first flag on the moon, atop Everest’s summit, the South Pole, etc…
      This initial failed try…will just motivate further adventure treasure hunting for the Titanic riches…
      Seeking to learn from mistakes and improve on failure. To bring up an iconic titanic artifact, the contents of its vault, or the entire fricken remaining ship itself… and prove, mankind can accomplish everything they dedicate themselves in to doing. And obviously get rewarded for this accomplishment, in process…?
      Unless we are dealing with totally delusional amateur fantasy imbeciles, who watched Titanic vs Star War’s one too many times?
      These guy’s who comprise the lost at sea crew of 5. Are seasoned underwater exploration specialists and salvage techniques technology experts. With pioneer expertise in this field of underwater treasure hunting? And they knowingly chose to attempt the risks involved-for the potential rewards of endeavor to reach the Titanic’s grave…
      That’s my theory and seems more plausible than the concept of rich guy’s risking themselves in some one of a kind-never been done-before, sightseers tourists package-by a shady group of back yard submarine enthusiasts…running a tour operation service of shuttling wealthy bored types to the depth of a black as night frozen gravesite… for kicks!!! Because an eliminatory google search, into this subject matter… reveals that no manned craft has ever explored the remaining Titanic’s wreckage…that no military grade nation states, state of the art-technology exists-with capabilities of operating systems in this depth and the conditions of pressures, temperatures, abyss style darkness, etc…
      So some Washington state tour services-offering tours of the titanic for fun… to tourists? Seems ludicrous and ridiculously irresponsible…to me. At least. It’s not what people are stating in these comments. It’s probably closer to the proposed scenario-I just considered, to explain the story reports…

    Letd be honest. They're gone..this is one of the deepest parts of the oceans. There was a Mr.Dawood on that expedition with his young son...he is supposedly the richest man in Pakistan a billionaire..250000 for him is equivalent to a movie 🎬 ticket for you and me..he had more money than he could spend in 10 lifetimes but decided to join the Titanic instead..Now his submarine will probably be a sub attraction when future "explorers" go down to see the titanic

    ITS THE KRAKEN!!!!!..
    Ok In all seriousness I just read about it. The sub is run with one button and a video game controller, isnt certified or guaranteed, and a waiver of possible death has to be signed. All for the low price of 250 grand......sorry but....what you expect.

    So do they have a system that pulls oxygen from seawater, or do they have limited oxygen supplies?

      if you're one of the five, you strangle the other four - that's one way to increase your oxygen supply!
