Your daughter is like you, happy, bubbly, makes every one smile. Your son is more reserved like Carlos, quiet and thoughtful. So cute, all of you wearing what you have knit. You all looked great! I tell you, the holiday season is rough on every one. Feelings always get hurt. I remember when my daughter was a new born, that's 1983 and we were having every one over to our house for Thanksgiving dinner. Well the power went out, so we moved it all to my Dad and step-Mom's house. The power went out there! So my step-Mom took the food to a friends house who was out of town and cooked it all there. In the mean time the power came back on at my Dad's, so she brought the food back. Little did we know she had been nipping at a bottle of booze. She got to the house and was staggering around. My niece was holding my baby and my step-Mom wanted to hold the baby and my niece said something like, "Are you sure? You don't look steady". And my step-Mom blew! I took the baby, gave her to my husband and then I tried to calm my step-Mom down. Did not work. I went to walk away from her and she hit me in the middle of my back and shoved me to where I almost fell. My real Mom was there, (because it was suppose to be at my house so I invited everyone), and she shoved my step-Mom. Step-Mom fell on her butt. It didn't take much because she was drunk. And we all went to our cars and all went to our homes and left all the dinner there with my Dad and Step-Mom. The next day my Dad drove to my house with the food in the truck and apologized. We haven't had another big one like that since then. This year I am hosting the dinners like I always do. It's busy and stressful but by the time I have all the food on the table the stress level drops. I'm telling you, I feel like I need double the amount of sleep I get!
You are one talented lady…and you crack me up! I love your family dynamics going on…I totally get it as I have adult children as well…so sweet of you to make your mom a cake 😅. I hope your family realizes just how blessed they are to have you! ❤
You are amazing .....what can't you do? I have seen you knit, ice a cake like a professional with the spinning cake stand, sew a dress from scratch, do elaborate manicures, and you read books in your spare time .....I'm sure I have missed something but I love that you have so many interests!
