Loved your journey into football but you got to go deeper into rally. Insanely skilful drivers. Best in the world imo. Every surface, every weather, every climate, zero margin for error.
Not to mention people and dogs running in front of your car >:)

@@dunsonhouse Also, because they can't see too far ahead and can't possibly memorize the course, they need to have someone next to them in the passenger seat telling them what's coming up. Drivers are given directions by their co-driver and will often have to be ready to follow them seconds later while also keeping their focus on what's directly in front of them. On top of that, co-drivers often speak in shorthand code to get the directions out as fast as possible. So you'll be trying to keep a car on a narrow dirt road at full speed while a guy shouts in your ear "3 right into 4 left long over crest into open hairpin right don't cut, 100".

Its so fascinating how you can see the driver is one with his car, the way they taking them corners is wicked.
I love the scenery in rally races. And the driving isn't too bad either 😂
So fun seeing people react to rallying. I love this sport with all my heart.
Enjoyed this. NBA and WRC are my two favorites sports to watch, full stop. The seasons overlap, so when WRC ends in October the NBA begins.

yes i was gonna say that
Rally became quite tame in comparison to when I grew up, however it's still a motorsport that demands not only talent but balls of steel.
You also have to know that it's a teamwork. The co-driver has their pace notes where every single turn, straight and particularity of the stage is noted. Every single detail counts (turn angle and direction, length of the straight, when does the next curve comes, etc.). The driver drives 'blind' and overwhelmingly relies on what the co-driver shouts at them rather than what they see, which most of the time isn't very much. Every team do their own recon and have their own notes. In this sport, the co-driver is as important as the driver (her-)himself.
If you're interested in this sport I recommend you to watch some older videos especially the rally monsters of the 80's, the infamous Group B (1982-1986), which has been banned. While highly entertaining and extremely demanding for the pilots, the cars were too simply too powerful for this kind of roads, leading to the death of pilots and spectators as safety rules weren't what they are now and crowd control was very lacking.

@@mintgoldheart6126 You can't compare cars from 35 years ago with the actual ones, it's nonsense.
At the time Group B was the pinnacle of motorsport and had the most powerful and technologically advanced cars, bar F1.
And you can't imagine how dangerous they were, for the drivers and the spectators.
So yeah, it became pretty tame, but in a good way.
@@lethalchocobo1886 I wouldn't use the word tame, but rather evolve. Rallye has evolved to be far faster and much safer than the group B era. The only thing I can say group B did better was the variety of engines and sounds.
@@mintgoldheart6126 it wasn’t just the engines and sounds there was a lot more variation in the design of the cars too, now all the cars look pretty similar except for the liveries.

The WRC contains the most talented drivers on the face of the earth. F1 is considered the top tier of racing, and yeah they probably have better twitch and reaction, but when you factor in the BALLS, the rally drivers reign supreme.
Some sections are 10 miles long and the top 10 drivers are all within 5 seconds of each other, over 10 miles of a course that random is astonishing

What i really like is the sport brought us so many great cars, from the infomous BMW E30, VW GOLF GTI, MINI, AUDI QUATTRO, SKODA, FOCUS RS, these big companies used to pride themselves to produce a car that dominates the sport, it was a full on competition on and off the sport. Look at all the prestigious cars that dominated the sport they are such legends for their companies cos they came at a very tough time where most companies were about to die. Am just passionate about the sport, even getting emotional typing all of this. As usual tons of love from S.A 🇿🇦. Hit it. IYAAAAHHHHHH MOOKIE! 😂🤣🎉🎉🎉🎉

F1 is awesome but no way that beats a wrc rally the drama is of the scale in rally mate just follow a entire one and you will understand.

While every time I see the clip, I'm glad the clueless canine is okay, I can't get over the question. Who in their right minds would bring a dog to a rally event? You are asking for a trouble. I mean to me it seems like the dog sprints out of the herd of spectators, so I'm assuming it's someones dog from that crowd.

Rally racing was big back in the day 80s and 90s but then now the rules are too strick, the drivers are the best in the world in my opinion. The navigators are even better, the back in the day ones, they had to memorize the stages over night and remember them perfectly the following day. They would do that everyday for about almost a week in other tournaments. Really like you've taken interest in the sport.
You guys should watch a video of people setting the records or crashes on Pike Peak in Colorado. It’s the scariest road that people actually race on.

Flipping like that looks bad, but is actually preferable to a "normal" crash.
The cars have rollcages, so they won't just cave in, and flipping/rolling is a more gradual absorbing of energy than a dull impact, so it's easier on the drivers.

i know its an old video but:
"they be driving sideways the whole time" this is because in rally, aka low grip racing, you can't really rely on grip, cause there ain't none
cars need to be perma on tilt, drifting, off balance, to give them more balance, because they're turned sideways and only need to accelerate to go in that direction
