Thanks Julie for another great video. You inspired me to start stamping over the past 2 years. PLEASE don’t say that you are not artistic because really you are! I admire your down to earth approach, your honesty and your lovely design aesthetic.
I love this video, Julie!! I have so many stamps that are lonely in my drawer! It’s time to bring them out!! I have been using them in my journals, appreciate the tutorial on Hobonichi’s!! I’m with you, too much stuff makes me overwhelmed! A well organized space with my most loved products is my happy place! ❤️❤️
Let me know how it goes if you stamp in your HC! I’m getting spoiled in my journals now so not AS excited to stamp in my cousin, but these softer colors work well!
I love your content. Intentionally different from the run of the mill planner videos. I like that you have opened up a different area of creativity and planning especially in regards to stamping. Also the effort you take to make your explanations clear is appreciated. Keep the videos coming!
Eva, thank you so much! I love to watch planner videos but you’re right… I’ll skip it if I’m just creating the same message as others so I appreciate you noticing that I’m trying to offer a slightly different perspective! 💕 I appreciate you taking the time to comment with such uplifting remarks! 🥰
Julie, I happened upon you on youtube a couple of weeks ago and I am thrilled. Thanks so much for sharing your favorite products in the hobonichi-especially ink pads. Stamping in the hobonichi has been a source of frustration for a while now. I have used the Distress Oxide Tattered Rose and it works nicely but I have to be super patient it to dry. I looked on the CTMH website and I don’t see Almond as an option. Is that one discontinued too?
Hello Julie, thank you for your video on testing ink on the Hobonichi Tomoe River paper. I used to use a Bullet Journal, and for quite a long time, people voiced concerns about ghosting and bleed-through. They have changed the paperweight to 120 gsm, and there is no bleed-through on the Bullet journal. Unfortunately for those passionate about the Hobonichi Cousin Planners and its lovely silky paper, the Tomoe River paper weighs only 47 g, so we have the bleed through. I have seen channels suggesting stamping on sticker paper, then cutting out the stamp and pasting it in a planner as an option if the bleed-through and ghosting are an issue. For me, I am going to stick with tiny stickers for now. I do love the thin paper in the Cousin. Have a good day, and thanks again for the video.
Great video, love your journal from the quick pages I could see. I hope you have a video with some inspiration or jump off ideas. I always feel like “eh” when I want to start one. Side note the new mulberry and papaya inks are yummy from ctmh.
Unfortunately I’m not a fan of pigment inks. They are slippery to me, so hard to get a crisp image. Love that there’s a variety out there- to each their own!
100% on the chalk inks! I love them for the exact reasons you said but you definitely have to be patient. I know if I want to use them I have to stamp and leave it alone to plan later. It’s a process 🤣
You have more patience than me!! Do you ever think the ink is slippery? I didn’t mention that but I couldn’t get very crisp images with the chalk ink either. Dye ink is just my jam.
Those stamp colors are beautiful. What color would you recommend that has a grey/brown tone. I was going to buy a stamp pad this morning and automatically thought of you. Thank you for sharing.
This video is awesome, thanks for sharing. Next video can you add the closed caption, I’m hard of hearing and that helps for me to understand what is being said 😁
I have lots of stamps and then don’t end up using in my planners because of the bleed through. It sounds like chalk inks are better to use? I just got some new colors - will have to see if they are the right ones.
Maybe! Besides the drying time, I also find the ink to be slippery so it’s hard for me to get a crisp image. 😅 Forgot to mention that as another reason I’m drawn to these inks!

Thank you, Heba! I have been so inspired by you. Hard to imagine the reverse, but THANK YOU. ❤️💕❤️
I love all of your stamping tips and tricks! I'm looking forward to seeing your "create with me" video 😄
Thank you, Xena! I am so happy to have found a place where I can stamp away to my heart’s content!
Just got my first CTMH ink pads and I LOVE from an organizational standpoint that they are magnetic!!!!
Oh yay!!! Happy you love them as much as I do! Couldn’t agree more on the casing!
Thanks so much Julie!!! This helps so much! Will order the ones you suggested!
You’re welcome, Trinka! They’re awesome inks… hope you love ‘em!

Yay! So happy you found me and thanks for sticking around. :) I *just* bought the almond, so I'm not sure if it's discontinued or just out of stock.
I love those ink colours, I wish we could get them in the uk. Thanks for sharing
I wish you could get them, too!! Bummer.

I ordered the mulberry… should be arriving today! 🤗 I have “create with me” video all set for the end of this month. It walks through my Jan setup. ❤️
Thank you for sharing your videos
So happy you’re enjoying them!
Omg Julie this is one I’ve been waiting for!!! Haven’t even watched yet but know I’m gonna love it ❤️❤️❤️
I hope it was helpful, Quinnie! It didn’t turn out quite like I hoped but I do love these inks and will squeeze stamps in wherever I can!
@@plan2create my yt name is actually a mashup of my maiden and married names ☺️ hi Julie I’m Lesley 👋
@@quinnieday733 haha! gotcha, Lesley! :)
The best ink, hands down, is Tsukineko VersaMagic Dew Drop. It has zero bleed on Tomoe River paper and almost zero ghosting.
Unfortunately I’m not a fan of pigment inks. They are slippery to me, so hard to get a crisp image. Love that there’s a variety out there- to each their own!

I feel like the mink is the most versatile and it has that taupe-y tinge!
@@plan2create Thank you very much!

Yes, thank you for mentioning. Although, I talk so fast I wonder how that would turn out?
@@plan2create I have turned them on for other videos of yours and it worked out fine. It surprisingly keeps up 😉

Yay! So glad it was helpful. They just released some new inks that I can’t wait to test out!
