Beatbox/Sax solo?? So rad. Cannot get enough of Rogelio and Kyle on sax smoking up the room. A classic cover of a classic song. This video captures the energy of the live performance at a PMJ concert!
Wow, you can really tell that trombonist was a) having a great time despite an arrangement that wasn't particularly challenging for the trombone part and b) in a dancing style marching band at some point. Those are some very distinctive moves!
(Trombone slides are flashy and visually amplify any movements, especially when viewed across a field, so trombonists in dancing bands have to learn to move big but with very precise arcs and stops to keep the whole band from looking sloppy. And once your body learns it, it doesn't unlearn it.)

I'm glad I never played trombone or lasted long in marching band, but I can't picture myself being good enough to do that.
Your comment made me go back and watch the trombonist and WOW, you aren't joking about how precise he is with his movements.
I switched back and forth between his moves and the saxophonist moves, I can really see how 'sloppy' the sax is! (Hubby said he looked like he was in a ska band lol)

The singer is incredible, but can we talk about how Epic Trombone Guy is the cheering audience as Epic Sax Guy goes for his solo at 3:16 and after they both vibe together? It's band class all over again.

I've seen this guy perform this song live twice now. The energy in the live environment is WILD. This is a good recording but it doesn't really capture that live energy. If you get a chance see him perform live it's phenomenal.

My first PMJ show was in Summer 2022 in Prague and Rogelio was the MC. His name was unknown to me before the show (the songs he had recorded with PMJ had flown under my radar), but his performace that evening absolutely blew me and my girlfriend away and Radioactive was one of the highlights of the show. Please send him as the MC back to Prague again soon!
Rogelio is the perfect emcee for this show, I was incredibly impressed the last time came through town with the PMJ band. I hope he's back for the next run, I already have my tickets!

Blake's original cover was one of my faves and is fire but these dudes straight up exploded! The crazy interaction from the horn section and that insane sax solo... Still love Blake's with it's classic lounge vibes but this one is now up there too

Saw them perform this live a few weeks ago in Riverside CA! Such an amazing show filled to the rafters and overflowing with talent and skill! What an absolute treat! It was my partner’s first experience with them and he was an instant fan! We had a blast and can’t wait to see them again!
