- A cinematic recut of "Razors.Out" by Mike Shinoda and Joseph Trapanese.
When I first saw the original 2011 trailer for The Raid, it featured an original track by Mike Shinoda and Joseph Trapanese. That track later became the basis for the song "Razors.Out" (feat. Chino Moreno).
If you're anything like me, while I really enjoyed hearing the new version of the tune mixed with Chino's vocals, I came away a bit wanting as it had lost the trailer's exciting orchestral crescendo. So, I thought I'd put it back in! I was also struck by the variation of the film's main theme throughout the film and thought it would sound nice with each variant pieced together into an audio tapestry of sorts.
The bulk of this track is from "Razors.Out", but the song also features pepperings of "Uncle Andi", "Rama's Family Dream" and "One Way Out" from The Raid: Redemption Original Motion Picture Score & Soundtrack, a sample from the ending music from the film itself and of course the original 2011 trailer music.
I call it a recut rather than a remix because it's not drastically different from a song structure standpoint and the only additions I've added were from other parts of the film's soundtrack to give the track a bit more of a cinematic flare. It's more of an extended edition, really.
All music belongs to Mike Shinoda and Josph Trapanese and Sony Pictures Classics. This is a personal project purely for fun, so please don't bulldoze my house!

By far the most superior version of this song I have heard.
Still vibing to this... I watched the raid when it first came out solely based off the trailer and this track. To this day... still a great movie and a great song!!!

THE RAID REDEMPTION is one of my favorite movie of all time
If Gareth Evans (... or anybody else, for that matter) decides to do a Raid 3, they should use this remix, or a track like it, for the final sequence and end credits. It would be a great full-circle ending, musically.

@@rperalta071 sadly is not gonna happen though unless another IP, as the MC in 2nd movie already says "Enough" meant no more of this movie, he got tired and probably run out of idea too after deliver such a masterpiece, i prefer let it be final .... don't want another cliche sequel that's can't keep up for the predecessor hype (2nd movie)
@@cabal123123123 I read an interview where he revealed his plans for the third movie which sounded so good. Apparently it wouldn't star Iko as his character Rama is finished with the bs, but the story did have a direction. Too bad it never happened honestly but I don't disagree with you, these two masterpieces would be very difficult to follow so many years later.
6 years later and I still come back to this every so often. I think this song was the most pure form of Mike Shinoda's style. And this recut has always been fantastic!!

This is one of those rare songs like Sultans of Swing (Alchemy Live) and Stargazer where it's so transcendent that listening to it can both hype me up or calm me down depending on what I want it to do at the moment.
I may have a soft spot for the insanity of Hardcore Henry; but The Raid, The Raid 2, and The Night Comes For Us are inarguably the greatest action movies ever made. FULL STOP.
