Galamsey ravages River Ankobra, two others in Ellembele

Ellembele District in the Western Region under normal circumstance should be a cherished tourism attract in Ghana. This is so because it hosts the original birth and death place of Ghana's First President, Dr. Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah, Nkroful. However, due to the greed of some people and the lack of law enforcement, the destructive illegal small scale mining is devastating arable acres of land less done two kilometers from Nkroful.
