Why not replace the Death wizard with a necrotect? Wouldn't the construct buffs be handy?
Yes the construct buffs would be very nice and if any titan was to get hurt badly you could heal them faster than the base regen
One necrotect for the passive aura buffs would be really nice. The healing wouldn't be super significant in the context of the full army.
Death wizard is better to bring than you think, against any army that isnt immune to terror, you can almost instantly rout something if you debuff them
@@Multiyuppp It's harder on VH battle difficulty with the leadership debuffs. But sure that's decent.
The point is more that a single Necrotect can provide +15 armor, 10% MR, 6% AP Damage, and +5 MA to every Heirotitan in range. That's really good and well worth dropping one Titan or wizard for.
@@doktarr gonna have to disagree there i play on legendary and leadership debuffs are even more important on their because of the higher enemy leadership thats kinda the whole point lol
Get rid of the Death Wizard and get a Necrotect in that stack. His Missile Resistance buff would've been super handy here.

Had you used reanimate whenever you were looking at Khatep's abilities and it was ready, rather than try to get the most out of each use, you would have ended the battle with much less damage across the whole army. There is no reason to try to conserve an ability with a 60 second cooldown time and unlimited uses.
Also, regularly using cheap nehekhara buff spells for realm of souls procs during downtime would have kept all those titans and heroes getting healed at once, rather than using pit of shades spells on the approach which did almost nothing.

might suck but having 16 uses of it at once would probably really hurt their lord, surprised he didnt use it at the start since it was a free cast
it doesn't stack. If you cast 16 spirit leeches at the same time it will count as 1 spirit leech. You have to use them one after another which is a pain to do when all hell is breaking loose.

at this point can we just say any single entity army with enough magic backing it up is a dumb stack? that's like 90% of these submissions. can your mages kill everything before your single entities die? yes? send it to legend as a "doomstack"
If they didn't want the army to be based on magic, they wouldn't have put so much of it in the army. The TK are terrible without magical buff on the table so it makes sense that the TW version is the same.

The A.I is retarded and never uses them correctly from my experience.
The AI being dumb and seeing the hierotitans solely as spellcasters/support units would be my guess.
It looked like the ai was trying to use them as dark conduit bombs.

Having at least one necrotect for auras would've been much better than having 4 wizards, 2 of which are essentially useless.

Darkshards have a ton of AP, really perfect unit vs monstrous units.
I wonder if it'd be smart to put in some chaff units solely for the sake of activating the Realm of Souls mechanic? Putting some heals down on the hierotitans throughout the game might be nice
Armies with more than one or two wizards are a total nightmare to control...
Legit question: is there a reason to not activate Arcane Conduit constantly? I don't see Legend use it all that often.

I've been messing around with an Isabella Hellsteed Vampire doomstack and noticed the other night that a full stack of Arcane Conduits means you never run out of magic, even when you're at 0 Reserve. Over 2000 hours in this game and only just learnt this.

@@sokar_rostau There is a diminishing returns but it effectively means nothing. Max you are dealing with 4 armies, and you have way more returns for 20 arcane conduits than that. Two factors, one is the return rate declines, and the other sometimes appears as a negative reserve. 20 AC makes that a nonissue. Besides the best 'I za Besta' is the vampire dreadstack, get dread incarnate, give Isabella 18% move speed and rest -leadership banners. 19+5=26*4=104, so -104 leadership. Basically most things would break on being poked, and then shatter. Only late game units with rank would like not do so instantly, since that pushes them about 130-140 leadership, still not really a big issue with enough magic flying around.
The winds of magic reserve pool is like a container of liquid trying to move to another container through a small hole; the more winds in the reserve, the greater the pressure and the faster it fills up the available winds pool. Arcane Conduit works by temporarily increasing the amount of winds in reserve, thereby speeding the reserve winds moving to the available winds. Since it's temporary, though, there is no point to use it when you have full or nearly full available winds, as most of the bonus winds will be wasted since they disappear when the Arcane Conduit ends. If you use it constantly, you could find yourself out of available winds when you need them and still waiting on the cooldown for Arcane Conduit before you can speed up the refill rate.

Anyone ever tried a life slaan with 19 skinkchiefs or skink priests on stegadons? all stacked with really good equipment, its like a regular stegadon doomstack, only even more powerful since skinkhero stegadons are stronger than the regular lvl 9 stegadons right?
I never understood why these doomstacks have wizards in them. Every video rating them just turns into:
- putting all the units in the back
- destroying AI armies with magic because they don't know how to dodge
- not really using the doomstack
I know he's been sent a 19 Unbreakable Loremaster stack, but someone should send him a 18/19 Loremaster of Hoeth with Conductor trait stack and Teclis. Now that's unlimited power and infinite magic.

Hierotitans are technically giants, so do they suck ?
I mean they are giants if they had like double the bulk, far better attack animations, bound spells and gave you a big boost to magic. That being said due to their similarities to giants they are probably the weakest of the big boy constructs. They die very fast to ap projectiles and even non ap projectiles can get them down quite fast.
They aren't great. Definitely the worst tier V construct. They suffer from the same problems as giants: slow, cumbersome, large hitbox, but at least they are heavily armoured and have some useful abilities. With that monstrous melee attack their designated role is single entiity killer.
They are not technically nor practically giants. Despite their weaknesses, they also have some strengths. Giants, on the other hand, are more like a perfect combination of weaknesses which ensure that whatever strengths they might seem to have will never get the chance to be utilized in combat.

Well if the AI was better I would of vouched for the DE. With so many missle units if they target 1 unit at a time they will delete it in seconds.

This is the most Khatep of armies I've ever seen!
A fair rating, but it did incredibly well considering the circumstances.
In raw damage potential, this is a really good army.
A shame it *is* so difficult to obtain.

My biggest peevee with the scorpions are that when they do that underground dive attack there is chance they get stuck in terrain and become unusable and if they get stuck inside indestructible terrain like some parts of walls in sieges are, they just straight up die. They are good unit but its annoying to be forced to replace one or two of em after most sieges.
