As for the meaning of the song, the band itself is an anonymous masked collective based on the worship of an ancient diety called sleep that the vocalist named vessel encountered in a dream. So alot of their music is based on the direct or indirect references, interactions and effects of such a relationship/association. So knowing that the music they create is founded on a type of entwining with anxiety dieties and whatever drama may unfold with such a dynamic, you both could be very correct with your interpretations. Just found your channel because I absolutely love sleep token and will definitely be hoping to see many more reactions to them from you guys :D
Love the content guys, thanks for shining some light on my favorite band! Most of sleep tokens lyrics are about vessel's (singer) relationship with 'sleep' the deity the band is said to worship.

So Sleep Token is interesting because they have lore behind the band. The lead singer goes by Vessel and the public doesn't know who his real identity is. The mythos is that Vessel had a dream about a god named Sleep and his music is his worship to this god. You'll see a lot of fans say Worship and that's the reason why. HIgh Water is also one I'd love to see you guys react to!
If you want to hear Vessel’s voice truly shine, their version of “Is It Really You” is 😫👌🏻. If you want something harder from them, I recommend “Gods”. And their drummer, II also has a couple drum only versions of a couple songs.
I don't know why people aren't screaming at you to listen to "Hypnosis" and "The Offering." The outro to "The Offering" is one of the filthiest, most menacing riffs ever written. All of their songs are incredible, but "Higher" is one of their more laid back jams. If you want to head bang, "Hypnosis" and "The Offering" should be your next listen, for sure. Also..."GODS," but that's like the hardest and heaviest thing in their whole discography. EDIT: Additionally, with more exposure to Sleep Token, you'll kinda start to see that all of the lyrics that Vessel writes are a reflection of his emotional state after the end of his previous relationship (who was also his songwriting partner in the pop duo he was a part of before forming Sleep Token).
I'm of the opinion that Tim hit the nail on the head with his interpretation. It sounds to me like Vessel and the person he's singing about have (or had) reached a point in their relationship where they fight for the sake of fighting and neither feel like they owe the other anything.

So forgive me if you have done these reactions already, but “Gods”, “Fall for Me”, “The night does not belong to God”… I have both albums, and saw them live in Columbus,Ohio….
