So so glad you tried Lucy and Yak! They’re an amazing brand and deserve loads of recognition for their work!! With what you said about how you liked their ethos and sustainability, I think you should definitely look into stopping buying fast fashion like PLT, Shein, Boohoo etc. who underpay their workers (both in this country and abroad), are incredibly unsustainable and fuel fast fashion and rapid consumerism. Something needs to change within the fashion industry and buying from more brands like Lucy and Yak and boycotting fast fashion is a brilliant way to do this 💖
Definitely keep the grey alexas! They looked great in the outfit you styled and are great for travelling in and for days when you don't want tight trousers. If you wash them with some fabric softener they should soften up. They are a unique trouser and good to have in your wardrobe!
yessss lucy&yak!!! it’s so refreshing to see an ethical brand being promoted for once- I understand that the ability to not shop from fast fashion is a real privilege, but increasing awareness of brands like L&Y is 100% a step in the right direction! A quote I’ve been trying to live off recently- ‘my expression should not mean someone else’s oppression!’ - if you’re in the position to be able to move away from brands like shein, please please do! and no matter what, would so recommend researching Shein and similar fast fashion brands in terms of workers rights + the environmental impact of their materials!!! love you carys, those dungarees looked incred on you😍😍

I have like 14 pieces from them and been buying their clothes since they started their brand 😅 Their clothes are so sustainable and ethical, it’s so amazing to see youtubers like you supporting an indie business like Lucy and Yak!! Hieee. I recently went through massive weight gain from being on anti psychotics. I went from 65kg to 80 kg. I did not know how to handle the change and ended up hiding myself in hoodies and loose cloths for years. Slowly I've been accepting my body and trying to love myself. Watching ur vlogs helped me to understand how to dress for my current body and that something is beautiful as long as I am confident in it. Definitely was a confident boost. Thank you for doing your vlogs. It means a lot!

I have really mixed opinions on shien, I've heard they are bad for the environment, treat their workers bad, copy other brands designs that they worked so hard on and the one time I ordered the sizing was awful and returned were impossible. I wondering what your opinion is on it? Because you actually seem to find some lovely pieces from there!

hi ❤️ i would rly rly LOVE to see more clothing vids on sustainable clothing! now i know not everyone can afford sustainable clothing, and vids like this reviewing fast fashion are cool for those ppl, but id love to see you as an influencer influence more ppl to move toward sustainable clothing if they are able to do so in their financial means. fast fashion is so so bad for our environment and it leads to labor abuse and employee abuse in third world countries where clothing for fast fashion is made. i know you are such a progressive person always looking to make the world a better place, and thats why i love you!! i hope you look into sustainable fashion and do some vids on that :) it would make me so happy to see more influences moving toward that instead of more shein vids!
