The problem with intercultural mariages, is that at first you agree to give up so many things for the sake of compromise, and then you've realised you've given up so many things for the sake of a crap mariage.
An intercultural marriage does not have to involve giving up anything or sacrificing anything. There are plenty of people who have successful intercultural marriages because they base it on a shared premise of open-mindedness, mutual acceptance and universal values. And those couples that end up in fruitful relationships generally work out issues like the one we see here before they end up with a baby on their hands. If they were both a bit more open, the baptism issue wouldn’t even be there. But this show wouldn’t exist if it were based on successful intercultural couples who give much forthought to how their relationships are going to look like :)

However, another Christian who also believes Jesus died for my sins may not be so lax. Thats not true. If a person feels they are dedicated to their god of their religion they will forever view the other party as a sinner and they'll do stuff that the other person thinks is sin. If a marriage is entered by people of 2 different religions than they both have to put doctrinal beliefs behind their spouse. If they don't do that they'll never be fully happy with the other.

Well let's examine this: This girl's mother is a Catholic her father is a Jew. She isn't even practicing either of the religions. So it can absolutely work. The dude is a Coptic Christian or something Christian, but he also isn't practicing, if he was he wouldn't have gotten her pregnant, still performing in a night club, and all the other things he does. So in reality they both aren't serious adherents or practitioners of their supposed religions so I do not see how religion can be a problem especially for them, I think they are only doing all these for entertainment value or for their families that's all, I don't see the big deal in letting her baby get baptized or in her getting baptised, I also do not see the big deal in letting the kid decide when he is older whether or not he wants to be baptised, at the end of the day it's just getting into water it's not gonna kill anyone it's not gonna stop any of them from claiming to be whatever religion if I were either of the couple we agree to do everything or we agree to do nothing or we do half of both. This is ridiculous. Technically a child can’t be raised Jewish if the mom wasn’t yet she and many others are raised as Jews. If you want to raise your child as a Christian, no one is stopping you. A less Orthodox Church will happily baptise him.
I'm Christian orthodox and I've NEVER heard of that before. She doesn't need to change her religion. The only condition is that the God parents baptizing the baby are of the same faith ( orthodox ).. Also the fact that he'd be taking breast milk from his non orthodox mother doesn't affect baptism in any shape or form

The true Orthodox church does not require you to get baptized if you already were, but when you convert your coming to the truth, no more heresy and your going to be serious with God. but to marry an Orthodox Christian, yes you have to change to Orthodoxy

Egg Menendez correct. That’s what orthodox is. Taking things completely literally. It’s the most extreme interpretation . For example in Islam, women are told to cover. Orthodox Muslims see that as covering from head to toe including the face. Some less orthodox or religious Muslims don’t see that as meaning to cover the hair but just the body because it doesn’t specify. All religions are up to interpretation.
Also which religion demands face covering. I don’t believe any religion demands that. No religion demands anything. We are all created with free will. Religion is like the law of the land. You know what is allowed and what is not. You know what you have to do and what you cannot do. Whether you follow that or not is ultimately down to yourself. In this case I can specifically say that in Islam, women are not told to cover their faces. It has no religious ruling or symbolism. You’re getting confused with culture. There are some cultures where women are advised to cover their faces, some women do it because their family/spouse want them to cover their faces, heck there’s a hell of a lot of women that cover their faces by choice.

Covering up is for modesty, it’s found on EVERY religion. It wasn’t too long ago when the tradition stopped. Women needed to cover their hair as a sign of modesty and my grandmother always wore a rebozo (shawl) and covered her head when she went to church. As a child I couldn’t wear my hair down mass as a sign of modesty. The only time I was able to wear my hair down was on my first communion. Also, they should have discussed religion long before having a baby. Also, if she grew up with a Roman Catholic mother, then she should know the importance of baptism.

Telling a child that if they do bad things they will be tortured for an eternity is traumatising. You can teach children about actions and consequences without introducing a concept of eternal suffering. Plenty of children who was raised believing in hell ended up becoming really scared when they did minor bad things and having nightmares about burning in hell. Not all children experience this but a lot. You wouldn’t let your child listen to stories or watch movies with torture in them, so why would you tell them about what hell is about? It’s simply not age appropriate.

Everyone has to decide for themselves. I've been in love, and I know the struggles young people have, especially when they are of different faiths. I do not recommend these 2 to marry. Which ever one compromises, as the child grows, there will be tension. Each will want the child to be brought up in their faith. Best to stop right now,. Now, ofc if your religion doesn't mean that much to you, then what difference does it make? I could NEVER renounce my faith in Jesus for anyone, for any reason. So, that is my final decision.

Orthodox Muslims see that as covering from head to toe including the face. Some less orthodox or religious Muslims don’t see that as meaning to cover the hair but just the body because it doesn’t specify. All religions are up to interpretation.
Also which religion demands face covering. I don’t believe any religion demands that. No religion demands anything. We are all created with free will. Religion is like the law of the land. You know what is allowed and what is not. You know what you have to do and what you cannot do. Whether you follow that or not is ultimately down to yourself. In this case I can specifically say that in Islam, women are not told to cover their faces. It has no religious ruling or symbolism. You’re getting confused with culture. There are some cultures where women are advised to cover their faces, some women do it because their family/spouse want them to cover their faces, heck there’s a hell of a lot of women that cover their faces by choice.

Covering up is for modesty, it’s found on EVERY religion. It wasn’t too long ago when the tradition stopped. Women needed to cover their hair as a sign of modesty and my grandmother always wore a rebozo (shawl) and covered her head when she went to church. As a child I couldn’t wear my hair down mass as a sign of modesty. The only time I was able to wear my hair down was on my first communion. Also, they should have discussed religion long before having a baby. Also, if she grew up with a Roman Catholic mother, then she should know the importance of baptism.

Telling a child that if they do bad things they will be tortured for an eternity is traumatising. You can teach children about actions and consequences without introducing a concept of eternal suffering. Plenty of children who was raised believing in hell ended up becoming really scared when they did minor bad things and having nightmares about burning in hell. Not all children experience this but a lot.
You wouldn’t let your child listen to stories or watch movies with torture in them, so why would you tell them about what hell is about? It’s simply not age appropriate.
