    My best friends dad had a 2008 luhrs 41 when I was a kid. We used to have a blast on this boat.

    Why do all fishing boats have interiors from 1984?

    You get a Thumb Up from me simply because this boat is from Fort Worth, TX, my favorite city (which happens to be where my parents and both my brothers live, too).

      Rajeev Vij thanks for the info. I just bought a fishing boat last spring, $5000. Check it out, it’s called the Twin Trollor x10 from Freedom Electric

    2:19 that looks like a Nordhaven but I don’t think it is cuz they don’t make a boat that big

      its not a nordhavn, but they certainly make boats of similar size. Nordhavn 120 for example

    The lower deck looks incredibly dated compared to the parts of the boat.
    And why would you want everything to be white when you’re fishing all day and getting dirty?

    • @grondhero
      @grondhero 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      White keeps the boat cooler (less fuel for AC), and they probably like a white interior to help you know if it's clean or not.

      I realize your comment was 2y ago but I just found this video. The white color for both interior and exterior is used for a few reasons.
      1. It reflects nearly 100% of sunlight and absorbs significantly less heat compared to other colors like black, which reflects 0% of sunlight and absorbs all that heat. This helps keep the deck and cabin spaces significantly cooler.
      2. The white color is more visible compared to other darker colors, which can at times blend in with the horizon, or the waters surface when not in port.
      3. Helps to reduce manufacturing cost. Most boats built nowadays use molds for the hull and even decks. Changing colors requires different (more expensive) products and equipment to alter color.
      4. White helps hide minor blemishes such as small, superficial scratches, scuffs, abrasions etc. Conversely, it helps to see larger damaged areas and identify areas in need of repairs.

      @@BerlinBLR A friend of mine painted his deck a dark blue and when I fished on his boat, the deck was so hot I couldn't walk barefoot. It literally burned the soles of my feet, his too. Next time I went out, his deck was white lol
