    Great set up for a family with one kid. I'd remove the top bunk and mount a little tv in the bunk area. You're right. Electronics do entertain kids for hours. We were in NH one summer. We love the Rockwood 2706 but it’s a little bigger than we’d like (our last camper was a Roo 23ss). I wish Rockwood would do a floor plan like this in the 24-25’ box range without the Murphy bed setup like the 2509s. I would love to see what Rockwood could do with their fit and finishes on a floor plan like this!

    I have this camper with the L shape couch/hideabed. The only draw back to that seating arrangement is using the back cargo door. We load a 10’ kayak and that’s about all you can fit lengthwise because the L on the couch cuts off the space. 12v fridge for sure and we don’t mind the outdoor sink not being plumbed. Less water going in the grey tank…

    I don't like a dinette. They tend to become a "catch all" instead of an eating surface... at least in my trailer. I just removed it and it's when the cat tree is located. I also have an rolling counter there, because I have no space on mine. Why they put the sink sideways, I will never understand!

    I love how this trailer looks and really wanted one until I looked at it closer. There are 3 major killers on this: 1) tongue weight is not really half ton towable. By the time you load up the trailer it's going to be probably 800lbs or more, now add a typical family of 4 in the cab and you have 600lbs+ of people. Now add in all your stuff... Poof blown right past all but a handful of half ton trucks. 2) camp queen. 3) I'm not about to pay 45k+ for a camp kitchen with a dog dish sink.

    • @marioferretti5431
      @marioferretti5431 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I disagree. It all depends of your tow vehicle ratings. Plenty of 1/2 trucks out there with low payloads for sure. Real world experience for me here. I tow this unit without any issues and stay below the max rating for my 16 navigator L. I have been all over the country visiting the national parks since 2020. The tongue with the tanks on it is only 650 lbs. My Navigator L has a 1,500 payload capacity and 900 lbs at the bumper. I also use a Hensley Hitch, this is huge and I highly recommend it. No sway at all, 100% eliminated. My combine weight is usually 14,300 lbs, well below the truck's 15,000 maximum. I have been visiting the scales on a regular basis to get a good baseline and understand how the number of passenger and cargo will affect all the variables. Tows great, the ecoboost pulls it up the mountains in Colorado at 70 mph without a sweat.

    I prefer the Whitehawk 25 MBH instead of this. I don't need my own private bedroom in an rv. And, that walk around space around the bed in the bedroom is now used only for accessing the bed. If it were all open, then that space would be part of the overall floorplan, making it feel larger.

    Josh, I’ve been an avid watcher of your travel trailer reviews for a couple years now and appreciate all your honesty in those travel trailers reviews. My family and I are currently in the market for an upgrade as we have started to out grow our current Jayco X213. After watching countless video reviews and only being able to check out the Grand Designs Imagine 2400BH, we are torn between the Imagine and Jayco Jay Feather 24BH. Any insight you maybe be able to shed as to what you’d pick for a family of 4 would be awesome. I’d definitely appreciate the help, as would my wife!

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They both have a few key features the other doesn’t. A few key factors:
      Jay feather:
      Longer warranty
      Dual azdel walls
      Plywood roofing
      Better solar OPTIONS but no base solar
      Cargo door for bunks
      No carpet
      Imagine has:
      True queen bed
      Better BASE solar (lesser options)
      Better bedside storage
      I think better holding tank capacities
      Sometimes it boils down to which has the key feature that works best for you
      And if those don’t break the bank, then shop the price tags!
