In terms of work experience, are you referring to only working as a 'trainee accountant' or just having work general work experience in any form as long as it fits the requirements of the professional body?

It was easier to register with Saipa than Sait however I eventually wanted to be a sait member. It's easier to register for sait when you are already a member of saipa. Im only registered with sait now.
If I only have Accounting foundation level (I assume level 1)...can I register as tax practitioner? I think SAIBA and SAIT both require NQF 5 which I don't have...
When it comes to becomes a tax practitioner. There are many ways of skinning the cat. Please visit the website of the professional bodies. Grey state the educational requirements.
You do BCompt Accounting or Bcom taxation and you do postgraduate diploma in taxation , that will give you a good understanding because taxation is a complex territory !
How do you deal with a tax practitioner that do no want to release a client tax profile? And how do yoi request the override code? And where do you insert this code?...sorry for so many questions
Report the practitioner to their respective controlling body and SARS because that's against the law. You only get an override code when the person holding the profile is not responding to the request.

Accounting firms; SARS; TAX OMBUD. Big companies normally employ people from middle management. If you have means you can volunteer as well.

A tax Consultant is a tax practitioner that does consultations. Some tax Practitioners do not consult.
