Cars reversing during bus lane enforcement operation

- You may have seen the viral photo of motorcycle riders that turned around and started driving the wrong way in the EDSA bus lane, during an i-act enforcement operation.
But did you know there was also a set of cars that started reversing back along the bus lane, during a different enforcement operation for the exclusive EDSA busway?
This is a late upload. The blurring takes longer than usual, because there’s so many vehicles and people moving around at the same time.
My opinion, based on what I've seen during the MMDA busway operations over the past week or so, is that there has been a reduction in bus lane violators, compared to what you see in this video - at least during certain hours of the day.
Those cars reversing in bus lane were incredible idiots in the road.
Should have been charged with counterflow and wreckless.
@@PaoloFamily-pr1mo the bus lane being empty is not a bad thing. It proves that the system works. They're able to move hundreds of thousands of commuters, while only occupying a single lane, and it doesn't even experience heavy congestion - for the most part.
The buses used to be on the outside lane and it never worked.
Firstly, every time a car or motorcycle wanted to join or exit the highway, they had to cut through the bus lane, causing constant stoppages.
Then you had issues with the buses making illegal terminals, illegal loading/unloading, racing each other, fighting with other drivers etc. etc. Even with extra enforcers and camera enforcement, this was never brought under control.
Locking the buses into the inside lane solved a LOT of problems and has proven to be an extremely effective commuter project. Aside from helping commuters, it helped to reduce overall congestion and traffic on the other lanes.

People seem to forget that their drivers license is a privilege not a right. The way they act after being apprehended 😂
Entitlement 😂
@@rumblemoto7564or stupidity
nah filipinos just being undisciplined
they dont, they dont give ash!t about it
The fine is too low thats why they dont care
bus lane kitty has single-handedly witnessed hundreds if not thousands of apprehensions
Increase fine to P5k for 1st offense, P10k for 2nd offense, and P15k + license cancelation for 3rd offense. Let's see what happens.
Better increase the fine to 10K in the first offense and revocation of license in the 2nd offense. They know already the rules but they are adamant to follow, taking advantage o baka kamote lang talaga.
Immediate car impound
I totally agree. The fines are too lenient. In California you get a $1,000 fine just for littering. That's 55,000 PHP
I AGREE WITH THIS! increase fines
it should be 100k..so that no one dares..they will save manpower.
This is why Self discipline is very important.
The moment One undisciplined fella brakes the law others follow suit.
That's a culture here in the Philippines not necessarily in other countries.
@@welashubby still a great point the lack of discipline.
Sir Addict! Thank you for your service!
Fine is too low. And what's the point of the bus lane when the bus commuters are stuck due to private vehicle apprehension.
Merry Christmas G.A double care and enjoy with MMDA
I so anticipate always your videos. I like this edsa busway especially. Hope you could upload plenty and longer video on the EDSA busway pasaways. Highly entertaining and satisfying to watch! To many D.I.L.A.G. on the streets and too little space in TOWMANA Marikina :-)!
TOWWW mana
The driver who initiated the reversing and the other drivers agreeing to the reversing of the driver in front of him 🤦 I just cant 😵💫
They should be fined for counterflowing edsa on top of the bus lane violation
Bus Lane Kitty must be protected at all costs!
drama mo
the kitten should be apprehended as well
@@mikeross8506bobo ka
kitten needs to be ticketed as well
This is getting hilarious day by day by day lol good job for consistently operating the bus lane
Anong good job dyaan? Kung gusto nilang walang bus na naaabala, Maglagay sila mga signage na Fine 50K for illegal use of Bus lang! Tapos!
Kitty is like the hard headed drivers insisting on using the bus lane😅
As i always said, the law should be ammended to increase the penalty 10x on 1st offense,20x on second offense and 50x on 3rd offense and revocation of DL.Calling Congress to act on this one.
complaining coz he got stuck in the bus lane. something special.
Do they keep data base of all tickets they issued (license or car plates)?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Salamat Po !!!
Good morning. Can i ask u a question. What is UV21 code. And how much is it? Thank you Sir
Consistent Apprehension is the key here...
If it’s the same kitten and the mama cat is nowhere to be found, maybe you should adopt him/her. You will be blessed a thousand fold.
people never learn smh
A tonnnnn of Filipinos don't learn
Sad reality. Philippines need to be re created and should start from ZERO to learn all the basic (law, rules etc.). It's going to take 1000 yrs for these people to grasp the fundamentals.
Keep doing well, traffic enforcers 👏
This is really a very brilliant idea from MMDA. This could help the commuting public in everyday travel to say the least, pero as usual mga privileged private MC/CAR owners pa din ang gusto makalamang!!
Sorry for stupid question, but who are the guys in camo uniform? I assume helping out, but what branch are they from?
They're from the Philippine Coast Guard. (PCG).
As a component of DOTr, PCG are able to help with these kind of enforcement operations. Many of them are deputized by LTO.
Where is the Kitten place at can you send me the exact location.?
stubborn or ignorant! Good job IACT and gadgets addict👍
I wish the video is longer about EDSA bus lane violators.
Where can i report road onbstructions?
y not put mmda at the entrance so we can avoid motor/private to enter bus lane?
oh so wait just to be clear, I-Act now confiscates licenses again? or they still give it back with the ticket?
Aside from a hefty fine, have those goofs attend a 3 hour seminar discussing bus lane and public transport before they get back their license......
@Gadget Addict. Can I suggest reversing the flow of the bus lane? In this way, no unauthorized vehicle will surely use it.
HOPELESS CASE......watching the same violation every now and then so this will NEVER, EVER BE resolved. How difficult it is to understand this very simple rule - BUS LANE ONLY. How much more if MMDA personnel are not there anymore.
Penalties are just not enough with these people.
Why not make video at front of lane. Why only do video at end of lane. Why... haha
Good job!! 👍👍👍
5 to 10k per violation + community service to solve this issue otherwise driver who can afford will just keep violating that lane.
+ 10 hour seminar
@@daveledonio5793that 10 hours seminar pustahan 50% wlang pupunta at marami pa magrereklamo sabihin abala haha tpos rally na.
Walang kwenta seminar, dagdag gastos nanaman yun.. community service talaga ok na iyun para may silbi o makabawi sila at gumawa ng Tama at Hindi mangabala ng iba
Yup that is correct, if you will be driving in the bus lane then you should have ridden a bus instead since that is the purpose of having a bus lane is to maximize and utilize the use of public transport in order to reduce private vehicles because they are the one causing a massive occupancy in the streets, big private vehicles but almost minimum of 2 people in the vehicle.
Why there is a temporary restraining order by the supreme court to prevent camera's to use for apprehension?
What happened to the bus who got stuck there with the private cars? Also, will the bus get ticketed for not using Bus Lane?
here in Saudi Arabia and other middle east countries they only take picture on your plate number and all cars have plate number.
you know I'm looking at how the traffic is moving and I must say it's faster than traffic where I'm from, hawaii...these violators are just very impatient
Im quite curious what is going on in those heads. Can you interview those getting mad when they're being apprehended so we can hear some explanation?
The audacity of the motorbike pushing to the front of the offending cars to get his ticket first is simply staggering. And the MMDA officer allowing that needs a reminder they are not there to make offending drivers/riders lives convenient
ABSOLUTELY SATISFYING!
reupload?
I just noticed something different between iAct and MMDA's operation. The MMDA asks the motorists to head over to the right side so they wouldn't obstruct the flow of traffic for busses. IAct, on the other hand, doesn't which causes long lines that affect bus operations.
Check mo yung last video ata yun, na MMDA yung nag-ooperate.
@@adingdingdiiing6740 it's a different part ng EDSA busway
@@yajson i know. Different area with the same set up. Check out the last video he posted located before the Ortigas flyover SB. There's also a barrier there, but instead of apprehending all violators on the bus lane, the MMDA directed a lot of them to the right side so the bus lane remains open/isn't obstructed for long. They don't need to do it for every violator, but redirecting a lot of them to the right makes it more efficient.
@0:55 the rider should have waited for his turn. Pero alam naman natin lahat na ang time ng rider is more important than the time of everyone else. kahit pila sa apprehension sumisingit parin. alanghiya talaga.
1st offense 10k
2nd offense 20
3rd offense 50k. Cancellation of Driver’s License, Vehicle impound.
OUCH! THE DRIVER 'WAKE-UP' HE DREAMED HE WILL DRIVE A BUS, 'AN EXCUSED IS THAT VIABLE? 'HE WAS 'SLEEP-WALKING' Manolo
Surely the offence of counter flowing should also be added to the ticket for the ones that reversed in the bus lane.
these enforcers need to bring a megaphone so they dont have to personally go near each car to come forward
I hope there's no let down...
How can they learn how to drive but cannot read? Amazing!🤯
they should make the fine for the bus way violation at 5k. then 3rd apprehension tanggal license and auto-impound of vehicle.
I'll call the cat "Busley" for Bus Lane cat. lmao
I love this Channel. Watching violators get ticket for some reason is very satisfying
the gall to ask who their CO is because "its taking too long (to write a ticket)", but refuses to give his license and OR/CR
what's the connect???
That cat keeps going back into the bus lane. Time to give that cat 😺 a ticket! 😊😊😊
Dude, how much is a ticket cost there?
This is a gold mine. They should increase the fine to 10K, 30K, 100K, license cancellation. Imagine your entire force paid in a few tickets.
Raise the fine and advertise. Make it painful financially to make them learn. Only way.
Hope you do this every time. So they will learn their lesson. Give them a hard time. Or maybe increase the penalty....
Results of not reading dedicatedly on driving schools. Only in the Philippines. I'm so embarrassed for all the people who are ticketed. 😐😐
Make it 50,000 pesos for 4 wheels, 100,000 for class 3 vehicles and 25,000 for MC plus impound to tumana with 10,000 minimum impound and tow fee. They need to settle those fine within 15 business days or license will be revoke. Let's see if there is still someone dares to step inside buslane
The fastest way in my opinion. The signs are there and ignoring it means you are either rich or you can't understand road sign
another embarrassing day......my goodness
I have noticed that majority of the vehicles being apprehended are large and expensive ones. I confidently say, money can't buy class.
MMDA should increase the penalty to an insane amount to really deter idiots from using the bus lane.
Before there is not a bus lane on EDSA, people say that buses was the cause of the traffic on EDSA and people want to remove buses on EDSA. Now that buses has a special lane for them. People want to use it as well.
Would the drivers reversing in the bus lane get 2 violations? One for driving private vehicle in the bus lane and one for contra-flow , after all, they technically would be driving (moving) against the normal flow of traffic!
that kitten is the star of this video🐱
I saw a motorcycle counterflowed inside the bus lane last Saturday
What if you reverse the traffic flow of the bus lane? so that no vehicle will follow the bus.
That's an idea that was explored before. It was basically deemed as unsafe and impractical.
The safety issues are obvious, but the impracticalities come from conflicts with the tunnels, flyovers etc.
Aside from that, it would cause issues for emergency vehicles that rely on the bus lane.
HOW ABOUT APPREHENDING BUS DRIVERS/ CONDUCTORS PEEING ALONG EDSA.? Isn’t it a good idea?
are motor/vehicle insurance required in the Philippines?
You cannot renew your yearly registration without a valid third party liability insurance.
Make NCAP exclusive for bus lane in Edsa..where bus lane entry is more clearly violation ,than any other parts of the metro ✌️
Why is the lady of authority apologizing to the driver?
I really hope they impose heavier penalties for bus lane violators. It should have increasing penalty up to revocation of license on 2nd or 3rd offense
4:08.... what happened? did you took the passengers license instead of the drivers?
Maliit lng nmn dw kase multa, pwd nmn gawing 10K yan para magtanda
Kitten Spotting with GA is the new content 🤗
The local police need to start doing routine traffic stops for regular offenses like speeding, no turn signals, no plates, lack of protective equipment, lighting etc., if they ever hope to have a western style of driving, until they do that Filipinos will continue to skirt the law. Sadly, corruption is pervasive in the culture.
"regular offenses" shouldn't exist. Kulang talaga discipline ang mga Pinoy.
@@TheBlueFernando i refer to regular offenses as to mean non-criminal...
With how the Philippine police is, I can see a potential for abuse of power. And this honestly is a pipe dream, but for what you said to happen, there needs to be a very thorough reform to be done from the bottom up.
But that won't ever happen with the persisting corruption in the government.
FILIPINOS CAN'T "CLEAN AS THEY GO". ZERO DISCIPLINE HERE.
Stiffer penalties for violators 😡😡😡
The lady enforcer is too nice. She shouldn't be when dealing with these violators who are rushing her. These bad drivers are stuck because of their own doing - let them wait!
May be drivers don't know the difference between left and right so when in the left bus lane they think they are in the right lane??
Most drivers say they're in the bus lane because they're in a hurry.
It's rare to hear anyone say that they didn't know it's a bus lane.
Why pay for oficer at end of lane, it wud be 3sec wave if oficer is at front of lane and then cars will decide to not go in bus lane
You know what will stop this? A 25K php fine 1st time. Then higher for repeats. Is it high? Yes, but these people need this to be deterrent.
MMDA should add more enforcers because 2 tickets can pay their salary for that day. They can even put 3 enforcers on every exit points of the bus lanes.
the 1k fine won't deter morons from using the bus lane though the City Goverment would surely benefit from the sheer number of fines issued in a daily basis.
You should adopt that kitten.
I hope they fix this area of Ayala to Magallanes Bus Lane. Busses from Buendia going to the right to Ayala "Taas" bus terminal* (No bus passing thru the underground) Traffic occurs.** Same goes with Ayala "Taas" going to the left at the bus lane. Traffic all over! I hope there is no accident in the near future. Ride safe always 🙌🏽
I saw a video in Facebook where some drivers riding a motorcycle made a uturn inside the bus lane hence they were able to avoid the ticket. Maybe this is something the enforcers should look into
As far as I know, they were all forced to go forward again.
@@GadgetAddict thank you for the reply! Glad to know they were still ticketed
bus lane violators should have an additional offense for traffic obstruction with additional penalty when apprehended using the bus lane for the delay they are causing to bus commuters every day.
That kitten deserves multiple tickets! hahaha

Mag kano ba ung fee pag nahuli sabus lane?

I remember accidentally driving onto the buslane im EDSA (im not from the area) the signages are confusing sometimes. Good thing i was driving at night. I exited the first exit i saw
What’s confusing about “Bus lane only”?🤔
How much is the penalty?.Make it higher para hindi na uulit.
I have a question are you allowed to use the bus lane for medical emergencies even though you are using a private vehicle?
