It looks like Steveson took Parris to school, but honestly, this match shows immense growth for Parris even since his recent NCAA championship. 6 months ago, no one in the world was in the same class as Gable Steveson. Now, Parris is in the match. He's scoring offensive points. He's within striking range of taking a match. This could be a very similar rivalry to Dake spending years almost taking the crown from Burroughs.

Sucks for Mason Parris....imagine you're really good but just happen to be in the same era as the GOAT.
yea, and people can make the argument that he should be happy because hes going against the GOAT, but thats not a wrestlers mindset at the highest level, or anyones at the highest level, the only real benefit would be people looking back on this match 10 yrs from now and saying “wow he put up a good fight”

Mason has gotten so much better
Looks like Mason might have very slightly closed the gap between them however it also seemed like Gable was content to just sit back and let Mason come to him.
This guy Stevenson is a really good wrestler. It's a pleasure to watch this guy do his thing. Good faints, intelligent on the show bait for score, wow!
lol. Stevenson is the reigning Olympic Champion. I believe Mason got a bronze at the World Championships after this.

Mason is probably the best person in the world against gable. Not only is Mason insane but he's wrested Gable 20 times more than anyone internationally he's gonna have to face and despite this fact he still can't get a win. Gable is going to slaughter at worlds.

I just woke up and I tend to watch a lot of wrestling videos so I can get better and I’ve been up for 5 hours and I’ve seen 4 comments already about wrestlers who “should” go into the UFC. It’s annoying ash. I feel like y’all mfs tryna push them to go towards fighting. Let them focus on wrestling. Wrestling doesn’t pay bills, sure. However, there’s more to life then just fighting and UFC be original.
@@xzjayz7925Wrestling at the level Gable is at, allows for a transition into MMA with out having to worry about taking excess damage. The ability to control a human being is something wrestlers do better than anybody in any other sport/martial art. Why not fight 10-15 times and cash out. Ride off into the sunset, set for life.

How is gable not hit with stalling all he did was push mason attempted like 10 shots mason getting better not on gable level yet but in time mason will get gable I believe
Pushing is not stalling for two reasons. First, it is an attempt to score offensive points. Second, it is a risk, opening you up to a lot of counter-offense. I suspect that if Parris had found a way to beat "just pushing him off of the mat" - maybe with a well timed lateral drop - Steveson would have changed tactics.
Gable controlled the center of the mat the entire time and he did get hit once just not on the clock
Maybe learning the rules of wrestling and why they are in place is where you should start.
How about you go play with your dog I wrestled in college and coached 22 year's so far as the rules I know the rules pushing is not trying to be offensive mason took 8 half shots and gable got his points off counter shots from mason gable should have been hit with passivity now if you have no clue how to wrestle don't chirp in keep going to the dog park that's more your speed
