I ain't even know how I got here. Been trucking for a decade now. But you got me at the edge of my seat like you gonna tell me something I dont know. You got my attention my man just by that personality. Good job bro 👍
For the megacarrier company drivers like myself out there, you won’t be able to fuel while off-duty cause they track it. What you CAN do is try to fuel while you either pre-trip or post-trip - which are mandatory. You can do 2 log remarks at once (fueling + pre/post-trip) which kills 2 birds with 1 stone. Of course you might need to fuel in the middle of the day sometimes but this trick helps save your 70 clock where you can do it.
Yeah when I get behind that wheel I'm pretty much locked into that seat until I get to a fuel stop or I have to do a bathroom break other than that hammer down
New subscriber, rookie driver... Love your insight, wisdom and candor. I've heard too much sugar coating in trucking and I appreciate the straight up truth. Thanks for taking your time to make these videos... Good stuff!
Doing LTL the easiest way to make money is to simply show up to work and do your job. It amazes me how many people can't simply do that, and then proceed to bitch about the company and their paycheck.
Not clue why this on my feed , But I Appreciate what y’all do. Thank you for supplying the things that make our lives more comfortable. Folks next time you speed up to prevent a trucker from getting over into “your” lane. Remember that everything thing in your house, including the car your driving came on a truck. Merry Christmas and thanks again.
Fuel during your 15 minute pretrip (when possible)... As a trainer, I have a hard time stressing how important clock management is. You need to maximize drive line time. Slow trucks, cost money too.

My first year in trucking I was a truck operator I made 700,000 my first year. A lot of people tired to discourage me. It’s cost this much and that much. I notice that the only reason they were saying that was they wanted me to be a worker first for them. . So many people needed someone to take their cargo. I love how being a ruck operator you can say when you want to. If you google search truck operator for the first year makes 300,000 a year on average! If you want to be a boss -and make that money 💰 be a truck operator-don’t let no one discourage you Get that money 💰
That's exactly right! Always fuel at the end of your day (if possible). Also some companies are going to guaranteed minimum pay to bypass some of that "sitting" or when they can't get u a reload

Get your year or two in and get with ups or an LTL company. That’s where the money , insurance, (and with ups we have a pension . ) home every day, make great money and have a life. If your going to drive make the most out of the game
The move in my eyes is find a local company that you know someone at and have them get you in and do a 1099 learn the ins and out to build your hand up
$1000 a week gross or net? You said at the beginning gross so let's go with that...for me in Illinois that's about 850 a week. Okay? But you can make that at a warehouse. "If the wheels ain't turning you ain't earnin." Well at my company that's true, we only get paid for miles run, and from city center to city Center so it isn't even all of the miles I drive. Break down pay 50 bucks a day after two days. I love this job so I refuse to give up and I know the pay will get better as I go along.
Do not stay at a company that is not paying you dude. 50 bucks a day after two days is illegal immigrant prices. I left my first job as soon as I hit 14 months. Gave myself a $25000 dollar raise my second year in. Do not stay with a company that is not paying you for your time.
@BlueDog Dude Union Warehouse workers make 17 to 22 dollars an hour. Time and a half after 8 hours. You can easily clear 800 to 900 a week with overtime, be home everyday, and fuck your spouse regularly instead of monthly. Some of you non union guys are used to being treated like plantation workers.

Used to use PC to enter the shipper and stay off duty while loading or unloading. But companies wanna be DOT now and penalize drivers for small shit like that, even if they arent caught by actual DOT. I slowed down with it but I was pretty much worried about getting the boot simply because I wanted to save alot of time. Kinda feels like they do it on purpose so the hard runners are kept back for pay reasons...

Camera is good but this is 1st video I've watched of yours. I heard from Helpful Trucker and I saw you next. I'm still trying to get CDL training. Help?
I don't agree on this "flat cpm" that's only comparable for OTR. You need a short haul premium or a low vs high mileage load scale. Regional average 2000cpm not 2500 and local averages even less miles per week. I can pay a driver $0.75/CPM which is "top pay" and get them home everynight but their pay will be garbage because of low mileage.
