2:55 I have been trying to get my trigger assembly back in my mossberg for 3 days now. I believe the safety pin is catching on the square metal piece beneath it, what do I do? I’ve watched countless videos and it’s like I’m the only person who’s experiencing this issue
If it's the safety on top, not a cross bolt, the safety has to be either on safe or fire, I can remember at the moment. Try it both ways. One of them should work. Let me know if that works.
@@ATS357 I had a friend help me with it. Turns out the cartridge interrupter and the stop were in fact the issues behind all of it which is crazy because I would press both as hard as I could to the sides and it still didn’t do the trick. I figure it’s one of those things where it matters more about the points of pressure rather than pressure itself.
very clever indeed. I feel kinda dumb not thinking of that but I'm sure glad ATS did! Thanks! I no longer need to have the dexterity of an octopus to rebuild my Mossberg Shockwave. ;)
I have problem with my Mossberg 590. When I shoot and don't hold strongly the forearm, the bolt moves on its back position by itself and ejects used round but I doesn't have a new round from magazine tube on the elevator. What's wrong with it ?
I have an 88 and the internals are frankly the same across the 88/500/590 system. You just need to fully pull the pump back because the arms have specific cuts for the order of operations, the shotgun can eject a spent or live shell without feeding a new one in literal fractions of an inch difference
My problem is just before that. Thr bolt, carrier, and shell lifter are all stuck in the forward position. I can't get the 3 parts unstuck from each other.
tbh i put grease on mine to hold it in place because thats what i was shown with car parts. figured what could it hurt sense its not a semi auto where stuff has to cycle on its own lol
I replaced the cartridge stop and cartridge interrupter on my friends Mossberg 500 .410 and still having issues with failure to eject and cycle, any advice?
I don't know for sure, but cycling issue could be the spring in the magazine tube. The ejecting issue could be a bent or worn ejector. Just a couple Ideas.
Good idea if you aren't very nimble with your fingers. I have been taking apart my 500 and 590a1 for years and never had an issue holding those parts in place. Practice makes perfect I suppose.
Can I sell one after I put it back together? It's not stolen just got in a trade I know the guy he's no thief. Just asking if it's legal to sell. Not sure why it wouldn't be but you know the atf these days...
I've never had a problem with a 590A. Cleaned a friends little 500E 410 and the magnets were most helpful. Thanks!
I am glad!
A small thing with such a profound effect.
Yours has magnets!?
Thank you, best tip I have ever seen for this issue.👍👍👍🇺🇸🙏🏽✌🏻✌🏻
Right on!
Thank you. I have two of the 500's, and will be happy to use this simpler method for reassembly.
You are welcome. I like to work smarter not harder when I can :}
A simple trick but pure genius.
Thank You, it was definitely a light bulb moment!
👍👍👍 great idea. Making things easier.....think you
You are welcome.
Love working smarter, not harder😉

Glad you got it. Yes they have to be just right in order to get the trigger group back in place.
This totally cleared the issue I had with those two side bars, Thankyou!
You are so welcome!
Now that was clever. I'll have to try it the next time I strip down a 500/88 for repair.
Great idea about using the magnets. I think I used a waded-up paper towel.
Did this yesterday, thank you!
You are welcome.

Wow. Love the magnet trick!
Thank you 😀
Nicely Done!
Thanks!
Great informative video!
Thank You!
Thanks ! I have 2 mossbergs , what a great idea. such a simple solution...DUH !
Thank you.
I love it when there is a simple solution to a big problem.
Awesome video
Thank you, 😊 it was one of those light bulb 💡 moments.

That is a good question.
I sorry I don’t know the answer to that.
Maybe someone else will see this and have an answer .

I’ll be honest I did this earlier this morning. I just use my big old thumb and put it in between those two bars. Keep them on place.
Brilliant.
Thank you😊
Sometimes, the light goes on, and I get a bright 💡idea.
My problem is just before that. Thr bolt, carrier, and shell lifter are all stuck in the forward position. I can't get the 3 parts unstuck from each other.
I’m having the same issue have you found a way to fix it
Me too!!
Great tip!
Thanks for watching!
This is great! Thanks for the awsome idea
You are welcome Julio.

Well that would work, the problem is you would have dirt and gun powder sticking to the grease and gumming up everything. In my opinion.

@@ATS357 Thanks man
super cool trick!
Thank You.
Wow 👍
Just stuff a paper towel, or glove, rag etc forward of the trigger pack, when setting the trigger housing.

Check your state regulations on how to sell a gun I don’t think taking it apart will have any affect
private sales are just that- private.
Slick ..thanks ..👍👏🤭
Oh I like this 👍👍👍
Thank You!
Very clever.
@@denzilvenske6315 Thank you.
Hey, that’s pretty clever 🤔👌
Thank you😊
Pretty cool!
Hmmm interesting trigger..
Or you can simply use a dab of grease to hold the two in place
You could do that, but I am not one to use grease or a lot of oil.
The grease will attract dirt, unburned gun powder and carbon. In my opinion.
