Very good to know I wasn't pushing my duotight fittings properly, can't wait for those indicators! I had some cases where a duotight connector was leaking and never knew why, guess the line wasn't far enough inside!

@@nickdefrancis3050 As these are very new you probably cannot find them in America just yet but they will be arriving to America within the next month or so. Best to send an email to Williams Brewing or MoreBeer and then ask them when the shipments of these will be arriving.

@@KegLand True, but have to play the waiting game for the stock to arrive. All good, the products are amazing as-is, you're just making them better. I have a suggestion for a new product- a ball lock connect with a duotight connect straight up (vertical) so you can put the auto stop device straight on top. It's just clunky as it is with the right-angle bends and multiple connectors. Sell it with the auto stop device as a package. Just an idea tho. Cheers

Yes this is a great future. In the design process this was not our primary objective and we thought it would be impossible to achieve this but luckily we have just been able to make these low enough for this to work.
So what's next you going to make this thing flow control? Love the stuff you guys put out. One thing I wish you would put out is a t with 2 stems. It would be great for putting together manifolds with the stand t's. Les plastic fewer parts

@@andrewbarker1190 As the lid is already stainless steel this should be fairly simply. It's just a matter of swapping out some o-rings. Are you using the kegmenter for kettle souring or something?
@@KegLand I hadn't even thought about the kegmenter sterilising itself. No, I was just thinking about using a pressure vessel for sterilising some substrate for mushroom cultivation.
I've noticed my duotight screw on fittings have begun cracking on the screw on end, so i will probably be switching to these.

Yes it will take a couple months for us to start shipping these to other countries but I am sure they will sell really well.

How many mm of beer line are you supposed to push into a duotight? It would be useful information until the marked fittings are more common. Maybe put it on each fitting's page.

What I would love is a connection to a supermarket bought mini keg to my kegerator. I love traipsing around the country finding brewers and getting them to fill up my 5l kegs. However sometimes I just want to go to Woolworths and pick up a pre filled mini keg. If you guys can get me a solution by the weekend I will be very happy😁
Hey Kee, After disassembling the ball locks and cleaning them in PBW, is it safe to dunk them in 180ºF / 82ºC water as an additional sanitizing step? (I use them with mixed fermentation beers)

Question regarding "The FatBoy" 9,5mm (3/8") for quicker transfer. My first attempt, connecting the 9,5 mm ball locks to both ends between a 55 l. FermZilla to a Keg, the transferring time actually increased. Measuring ID of the Carbonation Cap Barb sitting in lid of the Fermzilla to ≈ 4mm. I did NOT notice, nor understand how the beer flow would increase as long as Carbonation Cap works as a restrictor, besides at least in my case, only caused air and more foam than usual. My guess would be a need for a Carbonation Cap with upsizes barb to match ID hose size of the one between the FatBoyz, or what (where) did I actually miss (out) here ?

I’m looking for a ball lock with an airlock on top. I want to switch from non pressure fermentation to pressure transfer without
letting in air. Can’t find this device. I think it would do the trick.

I’m curious what this possibly work for the new soda stream terra bottles they are quick connects I would like to be able torefill them. Any suggestions?
Do you mean connect onto the co2 cylinder directly? This is not a good idea? The co2 cylinders are unregulated and contain about 1500psi. (depending on temperature) but these ball lock disconnects are only suitable of about 150psi.
hello i have question, i have the 8mm beer ball lock but the 5mm x 8mm evabarrier tubing is too tight, which size do you recommend?
Yes we intentionally make the Evabarrier tubing with a tight fit. Many customers find it easier to wet the tubing before insertion. This makes it a lot easier to go into the hole. The tight fit is important to get a leak proof seal.
Great stuff, just what I was looking for! Stacking two small kegs in my kegerator has been a pain! When will the small EVAbarrier be available? Having 4 meters of beer line for each tap is getting hard to work with

@@losFondos The Aliexpress sold products are mainly to service markets that we do not already have distributors operating. In Europe we have a number of distributors already but it just takes a bit of time for the new products to trickle all the way down to all the distributors.
@@KegLand how should we connect the new thinner beerline to a 5/8" shank? Is there for example a 6.35 push-in to 5/8 adapter?
@@losFondos You will have to go from 5/8 shank then use a reducer. So this will require 2 pieces. Alternatively we do have duotight shanks that have the 1/4 barb on the back so you can just put a female/female 1/4" (6.35mm) joiner to do this if this is the shank you are using.
6 years ago before Kegland existed I bought a few of the cheaper larger plastic ones, they all cracked, the top part where you need a large flat screwdriver on all split open, I hadn't even opened them up to clean them, this must be where their weakness is, however I have bought a few of the ones you sell and I have had no issues, will you be selling barbed type disconnects at all?
Yes some of those plastic ones are totally garbage and the issue is some customers think that all plastic is garbage but really there is good and bad plastic and it's imporant to talk to your destributors about what plastics they are using so you can educate yourself on the difference. Good plastic costs a bit more but will last forever.

I would try More Beer or Williams Brewing - These guys will most likley receive stock soon but best to contact them for an approximate arrival date.

No
As they are autoclavable, are they safe to boil in water with all their parts?

Yes you can do that if you like.
Hi the website says it's only compatible with 6.35mm tubing. Do you need an adapter to use the 3mm internal diameter tubing? ("EVABarrier 6.35mm x 9.5mm hosing only")
Yes we have all three sizes now on the website. So if it says only compatible with 6.35 (1/4) tubing then you are probably look at the wrong product. Have a look at the other models we also have on the website to take the larger tubing.

That would be a tight squeeze with a lot of lines but technically it could be done.

Two 9.5L kegs will fit stacked in my series x with these?
I am sorry but I think it's too high for this. The series x has 71cm clearance and the height of the 9.5L kegs are 37cm so it's just not quite going to work.

We do sell these to thousands of different retailers including in china. They are most likely original as I have not seen a copy of these before.

No probably not. If you have pin lock legs I would suggest that you get rid of them on ebay. we have no plans to bring out any gear to suit pinlocks. sorry
Starsan makes all duotights fittings dissolve, i dont use it anymore. Too bad, because i like the products.
Starsan does attack acetal (POM) and when it dries up on the surface of acetal it can etch the surface and cause chemical attack. If left in wet starsan it's not an issue but the concentrating effect of starsan drying on the surface of the fitting is the issue. If it remains dilute on the fitthen they they will happily sit in starsan all year long.
with that said the this new duotight ball lock disconnect and all new duotight fittings are now getting made from polyketone (PK) which has higher chemical resistance. As a result you will not get any "dissolving" issues that you are talking about.
Also some other plastics like nylon can also dissolve in phosphoric acid (such as starsan) but we also do not use any nylon on any of our fittings for this reason either. CMB still make disconnects out of nylon which is not as chemically resistant as PK.
So give these a go. You will not have any issues with chemical resistance and this is one of the key selling points of this new design.

I bought these from two different sources, and they literally will not open with a vise. Did you change the design? Is someone making fakes?
Where did you purchase them from? That sounds a bit strange as you only need to tighten them finger tight to seal.

"Neepa" 😂 also old disconnects can be opened with a butter knife, key ... a coin haha no need for large screw driver. Still cool but no need to invent problems that don't exist.
That is only one feature. The previous disconnects also did not have as good chemical resistance, under high pressure the o-ring would pop off, and last of all these are more compact so we can fit them into products such as our new mini kegerator more easily.
