Wondering why not put a pvc pipe in the sewer to help guide the flex shaft into the main and clear it from outside? Would have saved time pulling toilet? Also why not flush with hot water instead of cold? Lastly was a option to cut out flange in basement or crawl space and replace that pipe if the onect couldn't be removed? Great job on your videos!

The pvc in manhole question, because we don't typically snake from manholes like that we would jet. It's easy to just pull the toilet. These buildings don't have basements or crawl spaces. Why would I flush a toilet with hot water when it's supply is cold? Thanks for watching. (Shelly)

When she ran the water you said cold water. Hot water breaks down items faster than cold. It can accelerate the breakdown of the unknown since I don't believe you put a camera in the line. Wouldn't it still be easier to snake back from outside? No resetting toilet, laying down sheets inside, quicker? Also do you guys use a picote grabber? What is the method to remove the item inside the pipe? Sorry for all the questions.

When trying to open a drain with out snaking it. Yes try hot water. When snaking a drain, cold water. Even ad ice. You want the grease and sludge to stay solid all the way to the city main. If your snaking a kitchen sink with hot water. The grease is going to resolidify down stream in a cold pipe. Its just how we do it. Either way the job will get done. We don't camera every job. We guarantee all our work unless the plumbing is not to code or we think the line is broken. Much harder to snake a line from a manhole in our area from the manhole. Unless you know the clog is in the 6" outside. You cant get back into the house from the manhole. Cleanouts are put on the straight. Not the wye. We don't have a picote grabber. We remove items with spring retriever, magnets or just push it to the city or tank. (Bob)
