people should read the manhwa Seol Hui. sure the description doesn't say but this is pretty much a near direct adaptation at the beginning. The actress is doing really well to portray the MC. However I don't know if the manhwa ever ended (wasn't fully translated either) so this drama won't be a direct adaptation in the end.
It's always fascinating to me how Chinese dramas portray western culture as a bunch of rudeness. I didn't catch what the white person was proposing at around 3:00, but "thank you, I have something else planned" is not the most polite way to refuse an invitation. I'm sure if the person had been chinese he would've made a more diplomatic answer, but those westerners, they like it "plain and simple", AKA rude! lol
