I don’t know if anyone has already commented this but in the book she couldn’t walk towards the end but she was able to walk down the aisle, that’s why it was a walk to remember.
Honestly, I didn't like the movie as such cause the book hit harder in every possible way! I remember crying for good 15 - 20 minutes after finishing the book.
@@ranvbb Look up Mandy Moore Candy! And let it transport you to being a kid in the 90's, just dancing in your room. No social media. No TH-cam. None of that. Good times :)
I laughed so hard when Bryce said if that is her singing she is a great singer 🤣 I forget sometimes that they aren't* 90s babies 😂 yes she sings and her voice is amazing🤩
I think maybe me too. I cried a little, but the part that impacted me was when Landon cries in his dad's arms as a thank you. But it's a helpless feeling too because they both did all they could and it eased much of her suffering towards the end. I think for me it was the first time I saw a guy cry on screen in a movie before and had such a heartfelt reason behind why.
"The doors opened and I saw Jamie, seated in her wheelchair, a nurse by her side. With all the strength she had left, Jamie stood shakily as her father supported her. Then Jamie and Hebert slowly made their way down the aisle, while everyone in the church sat silently in wonder. Halfway down the aisle, Jamie suddenly seemed to tire, and they stopped while she caught her breath. Her eyes closed, and for a moment I didn't think she could go on. I know that no more than ten or twelve seconds elapsed, but it seemed much longer, and finally she nodded slightly. With that, Jamie and Hebert started moving again, and I felt my heart surge with pride. It was, I remember thinking, the most difficult walk anyone ever had to make. In every way, a walk to remember." I’ve never read the book. But I might have to after reading that. 😭😭
I am aging myself here - but is no one aware that Mandy Moore started out as a pop singer? She transitioned into acting a little later. She came out in the mid to late 90s at the same time as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson. So, yes, that is really her singing.
Nope I remember lol, i was a preteen when BSB, Nsync, 98 Degrees, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, Mandy Moore and Christina Aguilera were all popular and just starting out!!!

To this day Shane West and Mandy Moore still have a strong friendship and a lot of love towards each other. I'd love to see them in another project together. This movie is a classic.

This movie is one of my favorite hospital stories. But I can’t watch it anymore. I grew up very sick and was told that I probably wouldn’t survive my teens. It wasn’t cancer, but I related to Jaime so much. In high school, I had one guy who treated me like a normal girl but also helped me get out of my comfort zone and have experiences I always wanted to have but was too scared to try. I loved him very much. And he used to say that he cherished me. But we never got together. It wasn’t till I was in my late 20s that he told me the truth and shattered my heart. He told me: “I can’t be with you. I’m not the guy who is going to better himself and go to med school and love you knowing I’m going to lose you. I’m the guy who will drink himself to death after you’re gone because I’d want to die to too. It’s easier as friends. If we’re friends and I lose you, I’d grieve. But I wouldn’t be depressed and suicidal. I can’t be your Landon.” I’m in my 30s now. Doing okay. Almost died in March but I’m on the mend now. It’s been at least a decade since he said those words to me. He’s married now and seems happy. I’m happy for him. We haven’t spoken to each other in over 7 years. I want him to have a wonderful life. Y’all I can’t help it but Zach and Bryce reaction to this movie is so pure and cute. I remember I was so angry at his doctor after he passed, I wanted to scream in his face and say you gave us all false hope. Rob knowing what happens in these movies almost makes the reactions better haha. I love how Zuff predicts the couple every time! Bryce saying "Nooo, don't do this shit to me" was relatable. This movie is hard for me: Was dating and in love, with a guy about a year after this came out. It was young love. He discovered he was very sick, heart wise, and became very defensive & detached from everyone. We eventually broke up. *Everyone* kept saying "it's like a Walk to Remember" and I remember thinking "no... it's really not." I wouldn't wish this on anyone. It was painful for his friends too, but luckily he let a choice few stay in his life. They eventually got him to seek out some care to help him live a bit healthier, and longer, from what he was initially told. Heard he still has some health struggles, but has been managing okay. Thank goodness for those friends.
A Walk to Remember is one of my mom and I’s all-time favorite movies. The tandem between Mandy Moore and Shane West has always been unforgettable. Thanks for reacting to this movie. I feel like not many knew about it.
I lost my dad a few months ago to lung cancer. I’m turning 21 next year and it’s crazy to think he won’t be there to give me those “cringey” head kisses and call me his princess. I really took those moments for granted due to our small quarrels. He wasn’t a perfect man, he had many flaws, but I couldn’t ask for a better dad than him. Now all I can hope is that his soul is resting well and I can achieve his dream of me becoming an upstanding adult.
I also lost my dad to colon cancer when I was exactly your age. The pain never truly goes away, but you will eventually learn to find joy in the good memories you created with him. I hope you are doing better after a year.
I lost my first love at the age of 21 to cancer. I think of him everyday and i still love him to this day. That was over 30 years ago. I did end up getting married years later and i did love him too (he passed 2 yrs ago from covid) but you never forget that first love.
This movie is 20 years old already definitely still one of my favourites glad you guys liked it. I love Mandy Moore as kid she's such an amazing singer. If you've never seen Princess Diary she was there too she played a totally different character from Jamie.
I think I was 12 going on 13 when this came out and it was *such* a big deal to those in my age group. We all cried our little hearts out. Thank you for reacting to it 🥹
Literally saying all of the movie. This is my favorite Nicholas Sparks movie. I used to pretend to be her and sing that song when I was younger. Just love it so much.
Loved hearing a guys perspective on this movie. A friend gave me the book for my birthday years ago and I ended up crying so hard I couldn't read the words any more. And I was like, "why did you give me this book?!". But as you said, there are really great life lessons to be learned from it. And also how believing in someone can really impact their life. I've subscribed and look forward more of your reactions and reviews.
I stumbled upon this channel around two years ago when they were doing Euphoria reactions and after watching a few of their other videos (like their Succession reactions), I love how authentic they keep their reactions without being overly dramatic or extra like many other channels. Very refreshing how they also don’t equate enjoying these “soapier” sort of romance movies with being less masculine like many guys lol
I love this movie so much. It’s definitely a slow burn and it's such a humble production, costuming, and characters but still defies human spirit. I feel like "love is patient, love is kind" merch blew up after this film.
the way yall were so unserious the first half i didn't think i would laugh this much watching this movie lmao but yea this is such a beautiful love story and the leads have the best on screen chemistry.
My favorite Nicholas Sparks book and movie. Love how both are the same and different. If I want to feel a certain way I watch the movie and if I want to feel another type of way I go for the book. But this adaptation was perfectly done. And so we’ll casted. Oh and the sound attack. The chemistry between Mandy Moore and Shane West was insane. It was my first and last time “shipping” two actual real celebrities. Lol. And yes, Mandy was a singer first and foremost.
No matter how many times I re-watch this, I get the same feeling as when I first saw it at the cinema 20 years ago. You can not cry at the ending. I remember watching this with 2 of my boy cousins and they were sobbing with me at the ending. I was tearing and laughing when I saw them.
Life is definitely valuable and moments are always too short. I lost my mom quite suddenly 5 months ago. Still doesn't feel real. Just always make sure you let the people you love know that you love and appreciate them. ♥ Great reaction guys... one of my favorite films.
No way you reacted to this film! I love it with all my heart since adolescence! My friend recommended it and it is still one of my faves 😭😭😭😭😭 It will be always in my heart.
Do You guys not know who Mandy Moore is? lol, she started off as a singer before making the switch to acting. She's been around since 2000. As far as Nicholas Sparks movies this is one of the few that actually I like. If you want to see more Mandy Moore you guys should check out LICENSE TO WED and Because I Said So.
When they said , I don’t like when he said, “I’m sorry baby I was like excuse me. “That is literally my favorite part. gives me goosebumps every time I think it’s so sweet😢
This one and the choice are my favorite Nicholas Sparks movies. Yes that was Mandy Moore actually singing actually she sang most of the songs in the movie as well and there's even a music video for the movie called cry Shane west is in the video fun fact Mandy Moore said she had a crush on Shane when they did the movie together but because there was a age difference she kept it to herself and he found out years later they are still good friends even today and have there own relationship's
How are you not crying?? I’ve been sobbing since you saw the scene where she tells him about the illness and I’m only watching the few clips you’re showing us 😂😂😂
I can never watch this movie without crying from the moment she tells Landon she's sick until the very end when he says that wind qoute. I'm such an emotional wreck whenever I watch this movie. 😭
I subscribed to this channel while watching a reaction video of a Korean drama, and now I'm getting goosebumps. I thought all three of them were cute, but they were really young. I looked young, but this movie was released in 2002, and it's so cute to think that all three of them were children. (It was released in 2002 in Korea, so it might have been released earlier in the U.S.)
A Walk To Remember is a book to movie adaptation written by Nicholas Sparks. He has other books/movies "The Last Song", "The Notebook", "Dear John". To me, Nicholas Sparks is the Taylor Swift of Authors.
Oh. My. Gosh! I did not expect you guys to react to this!! It's still one of my favorite movies!!! Mandy Moore is so great! I'd love for for you guys to react to a movie called Saved!!! Edit: Fun fact, Mandy Moore is the voice of Rapunzel in Tangled.
Haha yes the actress is actually singing because she's Mandy Moore!! She was a pop star before she was an actress and she's also the voice of Rapunzel in Tangled!
I watched this movie for the first time a few days ago and ofc it has some imperfections, but it is really sweet. I love landon and jamie as characters, and “only hope” is ALWAYS on repeat for me I stg
It cracked me up that you were cringing so hard at him calling her baby…my friends and I were 13 or so and so in love with him for that when this came out 😂
Yay I love this one. I live a few hours from where this was filmed in Wilmington, NC and actually visited the gazebo seen in the date scene. In person it's actually longer than it looks with a ton of weird turns. It was cool to visit a place from a movie I've loved for years. 💕
You don't understand how much I love this movie it is my favorite movie of all time and I've seen a lot of movies and I'm so happy more people are seeing it
Every time I watch this movie I end up crying like a baby. I thought watching it with you guys wouldn't affect me that much, as we don't see the whole movie. Well, I'm dissolving into tears😭
Funny that you guys watched Tangled no long ago but didn't realize is the same voice! Mandy Moore is Rapunzel and she has such a beautiful voice, I love all the songs from tangled and this movie as well. My choir at church used to sing the song in the play on special occasions 😊 it's a beautiful song.
Love the reactions, boys. Made me laugh out loud. I loved this movie because I grew up in an era where Mandy Moore was a big deal for being a pop star. Had such a crush on Shane West as well.
I remember seeing this movie in theaters when I was in the 8th grade...all my friends had a crush on Shane West! Nostaglic movie..2002!! Guy in the middle had me in tears at 23:13
If you watch Mandy Moore's music video for the song Cry (song at the end). The music video has a little scene with Landon watching videos of them happy together.
I still have listen to Only Hope and Cry to this day. Everytime I hear the lyrics, " I'll always remember, it was late afternoon. It lasted forever and ended so soon..." I get a bit emotional thinking of my dad who passed away from cancer in 2015, only 2 months after being diagnosed. I remember going to see this movie with my little sister and there were these kids about 4 rows down from us. When the movie started they were being so obnoxious and laughing even though people asked them to calm down. They didn't listen and this guy stood up, left, came back with someone who worked there and the kids were kicked out while everyone clapped. We got to enjoy the rest of the movie after that.

A Walk to Remember is one of my mom and I’s all-time favorite movies. The tandem between Mandy Moore and Shane West has always been unforgettable. Thanks for reacting to this movie. I feel like not many knew about it.
u and ur mom bone huh?
You guys are a breath of fresh air. Not obnoxious or crude. Mellow and thoughtful personalities. Great review!
I know the photoshop scene was supposed to be sad but what the heck was that 😂 it freaking sent me
I lost my dad a few months ago to lung cancer.
❤❤❤❤ I am sure you are already making him very, very proud 🤍🤍🤍
I also lost my dad to colon cancer when I was exactly your age. The pain never truly goes away, but you will eventually learn to find joy in the good memories you created with him.
I hope you are doing better after a year.
My favorite thing is that Shane West's next big role was as a doctor in the show ER, it's like his character went through med school really fast! haha
I lost my first love at the age of 21 to cancer. I think of him everyday and i still love him to this day. That was over 30 years ago. I did end up getting married years later and i did love him too (he passed 2 yrs ago from covid) but you never forget that first love.
23:10 Legend has it that red shirt is still falling out of frame somewhere 😂
This movie is 20 years old already definitely still one of my favourites glad you guys liked it. I love Mandy Moore as kid she's such an amazing singer. If you've never seen Princess Diary she was there too she played a totally different character from Jamie.
One of my all time faves! Such a rollercoaster of emotions from the start. Shane West & Mandy Moore were so perfect for this.
I think I was 12 going on 13 when this came out and it was *such* a big deal to those in my age group. We all cried our little hearts out. Thank you for reacting to it 🥹
She’s such a good singer, loved her as rapunzel to.
Yea
I love y'all for reacting to this 😭, literally one of the best movies out there. I literally cried a river the night I watched this, ugh.
the movie is from the same author as The Notebook - Nicholas Sparks, you can check The Last Song as well!
Literally saying all of the movie. This is my favorite Nicholas Sparks movie. I used to pretend to be her and sing that song when I was younger. Just love it so much.
“i’m just bussin on you.”
Bryce: “ayooo”
Oh Bryce…you never disappoint
😂😂😂
LOVE, SIMON !!!!!!!!!
I needed a cry tonight and teen pop sensation Mandy Moore is so good in this. Leukaemia is cancer of the bone marrow.
My favorite movie of all time
One of my favorite movies, I used to watch a lot with my mom.. it always had me crying 😭
Literally my favorite romance movie of all time!!!! Glad y’all checked it out❤❤
I stumbled upon this channel around two years ago when they were doing Euphoria reactions and after watching a few of their other videos (like their Succession reactions), I love how authentic they keep their reactions without being overly dramatic or extra like many other channels. Very refreshing how they also don’t equate enjoying these “soapier” sort of romance movies with being less masculine like many guys lol
I enjoy you guys’ sense of humor and your reactions 😊
This is one of my favorites movies of all time, i never get tired of watching! the book is amazing as well.
Such a wonderful movie! Even though I'm now in tears, I'm so glad you guys got to watch it and share your reaction with us.
My dad is from Beaufort, NC. I've been to some of the places in the movie
My friend recommended it and it is still one of my faves 😭😭😭😭😭
It will be always in my heart.
Around 10 years ago.
Time flies….
Nicholas Sparks wrote this book for his sister who passed away with cancer.
You guys are on a roll with these movie reactions loving the reactions this movie really put me through it truly a beautiful film
Yay, love this movie!! Fun fact- Jaime is the actor who plays Rapunzel in the movie TANGLED
I’ve been sobbing since you saw the scene where she tells him about the illness and I’m only watching the few clips you’re showing us 😂😂😂
I love A Walk to Remember! ❤ This is probably one of my favorite movies of all time! I cry every time, without fail. It just always hits so hard 😭🤧.
Leukemia is cancer of the blood cells, often involving bone marrow, and lymphatic system as well.
I remember sobbing reading the book and then watching the movie made me 10 times more emotional 😭
Your guys reaction to this is so beautiful and heartwarming and sweet and funny!
This movie is still one of my favorites, And it still brings me to tears.
Next Nicholas Sparks movie needs to be Dear John. Stars Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried…Love it!
Oh. My. Gosh! I did not expect you guys to react to this!! It's still one of my favorite movies!!! Mandy Moore is so great!
I'd love for for you guys to react to a movie called Saved!!!
Edit: Fun fact, Mandy Moore is the voice of Rapunzel in Tangled.
I too joined the simultaneous “Oh” at 9:24 from Rob and Bryce. Because I too was confused about what Zuff said lol.
LMFAO @ "why does she have a camera?" This movie came out in the flip phone era and barely any could take a photo :D
also, via Mayo Clinic, "Leukemia is cancer of the body's blood-forming tissues, including the bone marrow and the lymphatic system."
I’ve watched this movie so many times. And even watching snippets of it on a reaction channel never fails to make me cry so hard.
Haha yes the actress is actually singing because she's Mandy Moore!! She was a pop star before she was an actress and she's also the voice of Rapunzel in Tangled!
This will always be my favorite movie 😭 also I died laughing when they showed her edited picture and the way you guys reacted I just can't 🤣
A walk to remember is one of my favorite movie. It's that movie I kept coming back to
I watched this movie for the first time a few days ago and ofc it has some imperfections, but it is really sweet. I love landon and jamie as characters, and “only hope” is ALWAYS on repeat for me I stg
"Saturday night? Dude, she's gotta get a good night's sleep and wake up for church. What are you thinkin'?" This line took me out! 😂😂😂
It cracked me up that you were cringing so hard at him calling her baby…my friends and I were 13 or so and so in love with him for that when this came out 😂
I met Mandy and Shane at the Australian premier and still have the signed poster. Mandy has signed and sent me several cds and vinyl since
Yay I love this one. I live a few hours from where this was filmed in Wilmington, NC and actually visited the gazebo seen in the date scene. In person it's actually longer than it looks with a ton of weird turns. It was cool to visit a place from a movie I've loved for years. 💕
I lived and worked in the area for awhile. They captured so much of the mid-south, including the love of leaving Beaufort.
@@Biomirth Very true. It's a beautiful area.
Even though i watched this so many times it is still so emotional to me its still makes me sad especially the ending😭
She plays for Rapunzel's character and songs. Angelic voice.
This movie will always make me cry. Thank u for this. 😭
Not me bawling like I haven't watched this movie at least 100 times since it came out 😪
Funny that you guys watched Tangled no long ago but didn't realize is the same voice! Mandy Moore is Rapunzel and she has such a beautiful voice, I love all the songs from tangled and this movie as well.
My choir at church used to sing the song in the play on special occasions 😊 it's a beautiful song.
I couldn’t stop crying watching this movie. I swore to never watch it again but here I am😂
You guys should watch The Last Song! It’s my favorite Nicholas Sparks movie
The song kicking up in the proposal always get me🤣
if y’all didn’t know mandy moore aka “jamie” also played the voice of rapunzel in tangled 😭 i love her
When I watched this movie at the first time, I’m actually cried a lot😭😭😭😭
Y’all should watch ‘Tuck Everlasting’ and ‘Ever After’. Both great movies from around that time.
