You wrote several sentences and combined them with 'however', 'hence', etc. Though the proper usage of these words are as separate sentences. You simply replaced full stops with commas, which grammatically is not correct as far as I know. Correct me if I am wrong about this. Thank you for the prompt response ;)
Well, technically you can choose to write a compound sentence without using linking words. In fact, there is no set rule for how many transitional words and commas a sentence can constitute. However, I have done this for mock A, B, C and even in the real test and have always scored 90 for Writing. I guess punctuation is not strictly marked in PTE compared to IELTS, but this approach of connecting sentences is relatively easy for those who are struggling to comprehend the main idea and include all "keywords" from the text.
