Same here, expect it's to search for any counters to meta decks, and the counters to those counters.
@@Crawdithe98 i mean if you wanna test yourself as a deckbuilder that is pretty much 1 of the main ways to go: make a counter to a significant aspect of the metagame that isn't useless outside of being a counter.
I still love the video where he played smorc warrior during the priest mindblast meta and made it to top 100 off the same guy
That´s the reason I like to watch him and Jackie, they want to do their own thing and build their own decks :)

I've been playing this deck almost exclusively for the past 2 weeks, and its best matchup is indeed Embiggen Druid -- an early Embiggen is usually a death knell for them, as they give you the time to build up your board and resources so you can punch through their defenses. There's much more deck diversity at lower ranks though, so my success rate is closer to 55%. Worst matchups are, in order: swarm decks (zoo warlock, treant/token druids), quest hunter (Veranus + rush minions), highlander mage (freeze + repetitive board clears stops any kind of tempo you might build), control/Galakrond warrior (not highlander), and Galakrond rogue (all the lackeys they generate are very effective at picking off your board).
I think it's a misplay for them to play embiggen early. So many druids insta play it and basically play a reverse ramp card against aggro decks
@@hectormejia5090 I think it depends entirely on your hand. Each of the following makes it better to play early:
- Early plays (e.g. scalerider/faerie dragon)
- Breath of Dreams (with a dragon, although topdecking a dragon with dreams itself also works, and your deck is ~1/3 to 1/2 dragons depending on your particular build)
- Strength in Numbers
- Frizz Kindleroost
- Just generally a curve for several turns already in hand
If your hand is Str In Numbers, Breath, Frizz, any dragon & Embiggen (as 2nd player), then obviously you play the embiggen and Str on 1, Breath on 2, Frizz on 3, and then topkeck your way to an easy win. The reason embiggen works so well (even against aggro) with these cards, is they give you free mana, which combines well with the "free" stats from embiggen (& Str pulls the extra stats onto board immediately). It can be important to play it sooner rather than later so that you topdeck taunts/rush minions with the extra stats. Notice how Kibler never had a buffed Oasis Surger played into him in his win (or his close game if I remember correctly)?
On the other hand, if your hand is double embiggen, scalerider & winged guardian (1st player), then you probably wait on those embiggens for a bit until you draw into a real plan.
Basically wait until you have an actual curve through the early turns before 1st embiggen, and through the mid turns before 2nd embiggen. And any 2 minions on back-to-back turns completing side quest also works (since embiggen buffs the recruited minion). You might decide to wait a bit or pull the trigger slightly early depending on how fast/slow the opponent's deck is, but mostly it's up to your draw/curve.

im doing pretty good against Druid with my questshaman (without Galakrond) - some of the new cards, a Plague of Murlocs (which is really impressing me in alot of other matchups) and i even play 2 of the 4 mana 4/4 that has Battlecry: gain +4/+4 if your opponent controls a dragon - pretty much every deck has a dragon somewhere in it so sometimes a end up with a 12/12 rush on turn 6-8 if got my quest done early

This deck is worth crafting and fairly cheap if you have zil and snip snap.
I just built this deck and idk how he has such a high win rate with it. I'm getting pounded.
The cards like the sidequest and air raid seem bad. I played just normal mech paladin for the last week of the season in January and went from Rank 5 to Rank 1 only losing once. Sub in Blessing of Kings and more importantly mecharoos.
The higher your rank, the more likely you'll encounter the decks it counters. Lower ranks have more jank shit.
@@ExOTiC1234 you need side quest vs literally any aoe, especially swipe, fan of knives, and zephrys. it's the difference between getting wiped on t4 and sticking sky claw + 2 tokens + t1/t2 plays.
When Erkh comes out can you try Tekahn lackeylock? Could be fun.
I want to play kibbler’s mech pally.. but i really want sir annoy-o.. how did you get him again? Was he just an $80 dollar pre-order hero? Or was he a ‘beat a certain adventure on heroic’ hero? I still need to go back and get arthas from 9 lich king heroic wins... but.. ugh!

As a wild only player it seems so sad and desperate to play Blessing of Wisdom instead of Divine Favor.
When you can get something with that huge stats on turn four I think the game needs to be fixed. Remember when wild growth yeti was too much? Ah simpler times

Well it's kind of a late game reload like token druid running The Forest's Aid. And while you most likely get trash you can also luck out and summon one of your huge magnetised minions.
@@robinheinemann1740 you most likely get trash though like you say. If you wanted to play it, you would have to take out a few cards (replicating menace, sky claw etc.) And in my experience this deck is better at using these cards and being aggro.

I've personally played this deck and it's amazing, I've climbed up 6 ranks just using this deck. It can crush the druids hunters and scumbag priests of the higher ranks.

@@patrikpass2962 Agro is needed to make the meta healthy. If agro deck is weak in the meta, everyone will just play singe player win condition, and that's just not fun.
Patrik pass Aggro decks are not scum as 90% of the time they are easy to counter with healing (which most decks run zilliax) if you lose to aggro decks that's just sad. Quest priests and embiggen druids are scum since there are so many of them just playing the deck since they are the top decks. I like this deck cause it uses cards you don't normally see. Clearly you have no clue about anything related to Hearthstone so you should just stay quiet lol.
Each time Kibler keeps stacking all magnetics onto one minion makes me twitch every time.
it's correct a large amount of the time. you should get used to seeing good plays ;)

As others have said, it's about knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your opponent. Druids are bad at single-target removal, so building up a big minion will win you the game against them. Against rogues, however, you want to build the widest board possible and spread your improvements across many minions, since their single-target removal is excellent (Sap, Eviscerate, Walk the Plank).
@@coriolis_storm you're way over thinking it. At certain points the only play you can make is making a big minion there's no nuances to it. It's either they have A they have a silence and we cry B they can get enough stats to counter and we cry C we win

Why is it that Druid is almost always the best class after a new set, then the worst class by the end of the set due to nerfs?

I 100% would've killed the reborn with the thopter at the end and miss lethal.
This didn't really feel like an "Embiggen Druid Counter." It lost one of the two games against Embiggen Druid and the other was close. Murloc-Dragon Paladin may be a much stronger counter to Embiggen Druid.

Kibler literally said he was like 8-0 against Embiggen Druid on his climb to legend with the deck and that he drew poorly and his opponent drew well during the game he lost.
can someone explain how air raid is a good card
His deck runs sidequest about filling the board. Given that it a 2 cost card that can be played early and works well with sidequest its a great card. Can also use to protect mech from trading into it to use it as magnatise body next turn. Thats about it

The only time he spends gold is when he does the heroic brawls or the *very* occasional arena run. Otherwise, he just spends real money -- it's a business expense for him, and it enables him to hoard gold anyway (as a proper "Dragon Master" should!)

TheRealALChief grom hasn’t ever seen serious play in Aggro warrior, he’s a control finisher usually. It’s 8 mana for four damage without enablers, and aggro wants the game closed before turn 8.
@@Skullhawk13 I've always seen him used as a finisher or used as a means of clearing something big. I've always seen Grom/Leroy as finishers in aggro.
Leeroy yes, because he's cheap enough to help end the game, but Grom is too slow for aggro and has been as far back as I can remember. You'd be better off with something else for aggro.
You might be confusing some mid-ranged decks with aggro.
