The problem wasn’t he was getting old and losing power, the problem was that storm was more aerodynamic and could blow past all the cup cars that had much worse aerodynamic properties. Aero makes a huge difference at those speeds.

You're saying it in kilometers, if we look at it in kilometers then McQueen went 307 kilometers per hour, meanwhile Storm went 310+ kilometers per hour, Francesco is also 310+ kilometers per hour, would easily beat Storm, But if we look it at miles, McQueen went maximum 196 MPH in Cars 3, meanwhile in Cars 1 and 2 he went over 200 MPH, if it was the Cars 2 McQueen racing, then McQueen would have left Storm in the dust cause he clearly managed to catch up with Mater going with rockets. But Cars 2 and Cars 3 are completely different, cars have aged, new generations have came, McQueen has slowed down. So basically it would be super easy for Storm to beat McQueen.

I wish the ending race (from the main movie) was switched around this is how i would of liked it: After coming from docs old track mcqueen finds out that cruz might be better than him after all so he talks with sterling and now he is just going to watch. When they entered the race cruz was first to go and everything went well she was using her techniques from the training arc from the film until she reaches up to storm where storm manipulates her to stop racing and instead of trying she got completely broken and after storms manipulation a big crash happened which sent cruz back to the pit. Mcqueen was just about to leave thinking that his racing days were over but cruz came up and told mcqueen to race for her as she could not handle the race track but mcqueen says he cant but then has a big flashback of all of his races and how he won those so just as cruz was about to go in the track mcqueen swooped in and told cruz to go on pits as cruz remembered the techniques when they were training. So mcqueen speeds up to second place where he is behind storm and coldly says "Storms over" and wins the race. What do you think?

Wow. This is how the movie ended. No one could make any inference from the movie. McQueen remained a loser old grumpy geezer who beat rookies to the end of his life. He never became a legend like the Hudson hornet. He continued to compete until he grew old and died because of his ego and ambition to compete. He never concentrated on the strategic side of the race. He never trained a rookie. It was just another fast car forgotten the moment it died. There was no significant story. No one made a documentary about him in the future.
There was a lot in him that he never got to show. The canon ending just told him that Mcqueen's racing days are history, went ahead to move to the new rookie cruz

I remember this dream where I had a full trailer for cars 3, and it didn't have Cruz or any of the other characters. It was Lightning McQueen just racing over and over, and there was a scene in the trailer where he sponsored Monster Energy during his training as well.

The movie is about never giving up on a dream, it doesn't matter if your family discourages you, just follow your dream, that's why Cruz won the race because it was her dream.
They should have just upgraded him like they did to dusty in planes after he wrecked... Because then he could have beaten storm, and still been competitive for many more years helping storm and the new generation fix their attitudes.

A big reack involving almost everyone (the next gens but there 5th generation) and mqueen is the only one who passes the finish line but then an ambulance races by to take storm to a nearby hospital and mqueen feels good about it😊
