Aric Improta is one of the best drummers around. If you haven't seen his videos, check him out. Also, he is the drummer of Night Verses, which used to be fronted by the singer of The Sleeping but they recently became instrumental prog to showcase their musical talent without the burden of vocals. I've never been a huge fan of instrumental bands (respect them but not my cup o' tea) as there seems to be a lack of some dynamic when a band tries too hard to be technically amazing by sacrificing some of the catchier characteristics of music. Despite the fact that Doug Robinson is one of my favorite vocalists, the combination of Aric Improta and guitarist Nick DePirro is really something to behold. They maintain a dynamic sound and groove without limiting their individual talents. I suggest checking out Night Verses before and after From The Gallery of Sleep (new instrumental album).
Brandon Baty there are videos of him doing backflips from one drum kit to another behind him he’s absolutely insane!! ive met him too and he’s so nice and genuine
