A few things. Due to how damage buckets work, the "Best" Substats are going to be +Weapon Damage, +Status Damage and then +Critical Hit Damage in general. The reason for this is that Corrosion, just from Deadshot/Fateful Strike (Which is the general best DPS mod for non-dummy DPS)/Lone Wolf/Corrosion will have you sitting at ~200+% crit damage bonus in combat. Since Weapon/Status damage is multiplicative to Crit Damage, those stats are the best, albeit, the hardest to roll/find. Although Corrosion doesn't hard crutch on the keyword specific substats like Outer Space does, you'll still get a fairly large DPS bump from getting a good set of dual roll keyword mods on your weapon/mask mods (Power Surge damage being multiplicative with Shock/Status damage). Hotdog should still be your best DPS food assuming you're marking anything at all. Beyond that, I haven't done the testing for Bread vs Stargazy, but I would imagine Bread also end sup being slightly superior DPS as well due to your builds oversaturation of crit damage. Also the natural comment on how this game is the only game in the history of gaming where people claim their "DPS" is the highest DPS they get, and not an average over a time period or series of rounds.
Untrue. As crit damage influences both your damage sources, each roll value is doubled, if you have violent mods with decent amount of weapon damage, you’ll find out that diminishing return doesn’t come into play that soon. The same goes for status damage as you get a decent amount from cradle and from mods’ main effect. I can see how hot dog can be better, but it can also be very inconvenient as you’re not always gonna have enemies marked.
@@mawn7976 As someone with the mods you describe, my maxed weapon damage roll gives me more damage then my maxed crit damage roll. I've explained to you why that's true, it's up to you if you want to understand why gaining 1.5% more damage from crit damage is worth less then gaining +4% weapon damage. As for marking enemies, no. It's pretty easy. You have Bingo, Wildfire, Crossbow or improved drone. It's very little cost for what's effectively +30% damage against anything you fight.

Wont go too much in details cause there s a lot to say but Status dmg has to be avoided on Surge build. Status are for dmg like Burn. Elemetal is for instant dmg like Surge. Here the build focus too much on crit rate / crit dmg. If we want a crit build then there s definitely much better option with more range than this build. This weapon is about Surge being able to crit with a really high activation chance. Surge proc has no dmg reduce at long range so if your shotgun can hit your surge dmg will still be the same 1m or 100m away. Short range the shotgun will melt people but even at medium range this shotgun is scary ofc cause of surge damage but also cause Surge status effect is -40 precision which isnt a small debuff. Medic set is a really bad option for this build, except if you go 3 pieces for a more defensive approach. Otherwise it s just a bad choice for Surge builds. Lone Wolf 4 pieces is also bad cause the 4 pieces bonus isnt great for this build. We dont really care about the 8% crit rate after reloading we have already too much crit rate and the 2 more stacks isnt that great.

@@SouIShot each static crit roll value is 3%. Because crit affects two damage sources, that becomes 6%. Each weapon damage roll is only valued 1.2%. A quick math calculation with my own substats was enough for me to find out that crit is still better than weap or status
Do guide 4 all wep ur video good compare to others
I see a lot of damage normal enemies on your mods, isn't that what adds to dummy DPS, it certainly has no purpose in PVE damage as far as I know
If I’m gonna do a dps showcase why would I not use mods w dmg vs normal enemies. Besides, it’s not as if you’re not gonna fire at normal enemies anyway in pve so what are you even on about
@@mawn7976 right the the PVP in the title makes so much sense now...
@@N1ghtR1der666 where do you see pvp in the title?
@@mawn7976 in his defense, nobody stacks normal dmg for pve. People look for either mag size/reload, crit dmg, wpn dmg and great one dmg. So yeah it's a little disingenuous to portray the numbers as normal when nobody will be nearly as close stacking the 'normal' mods. It's a lil bit like cheating for the thumbnail. That being said at least you show multi phase buff/no buff dps. Long Axe is such a sad cheese i hate to see people doing awesome dummy only dps with that gimmick.
0:34 , I thought it was fortnite for a moment there
is phase 5 event got more starcom? i have 4000 now and need to wait for next phase for weekly wave another 4000 , need 16000 😔
my doombring w 4 bullets does the dmg that u do with 10, but niec build anyway, good for pvp
My DB build does 126k without buffs (test in two dummies). 4 pallet as well.
@@M4DGremlin DPS or DMG?
In the field or nm PW etc I can hit 9k+ per pellet from 1 shot plus the power surge doing over 10k no food buffs or crossbows or axe cba with that lol
@@MaDogHadkittens what u mean power surge ? xD
@@mhfcka the shotgun he uses in the video and what I use also does instant power surge damage with every hit or almost think 90% of the time
I was wondering for the longest time why my corrosion dps was way lower on dummys than it was in actual monoliths, silos, primewars, etc. I would be getting near top damage all the time but my dummy dps kind of sucked (it was okay but not great).
Dummy doesn't take into account the great one damage or elite plus don't have weapon trigger so alot of damage missed out on
Dude plz lean away from your mic or hit mute for a second when you got to swallow your spit. Nobody using earbuds wants to hear that right in their ears. Other than that good video
😂
Let the man drool, what's wrong with you?!
Funny how the devs thought DB was busted yet let this monstrosity completely untouched. STARRY's balance team is completely out of touch.
i do more dmg from you're first corrosion build.
it is very possible if you have better older mods than resonance ones
Resonance mods doesnt work, we tested it 😊 useless
it does work
@@mawn7976 For example, if a stat says that both crit and elemental damage are increased, only one of them will be increased, while both should be increased. You can check it yourself :)
if we re talking about one single line of substat, only the latter is increased. Not both
@@mawn7976 okay, im stupid xD
@@sanyasamosval no worries, we all make mistakes
@@MishaXG status dmg affect power surge damage the same way how elemental damage affects power surge. And this is a more pve oriented build, medic 2pc will push your damage even further than other stuff. And the other take is just wrong as to respecting the 1:1 crit ratio
Good and nice for pvp server, and close range combat. Sadly it will weak in prime war. Fun build but not universal sadly. And good to see to somebody used nicely the gas mask armour :).
Lol bro you speak so fast you start mumbling your words 😂
Great breakdown and outline to this guide. But lets be honest if a real bullet hits you it will make devistating damage. I just dont see why it have to be this technical. Upgrade you gun drink a wine and shoot the crap out off everything. Lol Just my thoughts. Happy gaming everybody.
