    Two of my favorite technologies ( MS Excel and arduino). And now I can run it together. Thanks. good work.

    Great stuff! How did you transfer data from data in sheet to your sheet? when I do same as you did the data doesn't appear in my sheet

      I created formulas in my oscilloscope workheet that referred to the cells in the data in worksheet

    Hey! How did you manage to start the time from 0? Mine always starts at 7s or 25 seconds. Thanks.

      The Arduino is providing the time value. Have a look at th-cam.com/video/z1iB6dyCXOc/w-d-xo.html (first video in the series where we build up the code).

    Hello! Excelent video! When I click com devices it doesn't appear any COM and I already have my COM26 active with the arduino IDE in this case I'm using an ESP32

    • @overengineeredinoz7683
      @overengineeredinoz7683  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For me the comxx number that appears for the Arduino ide is the same number that appears in excel for that device. You can't connect the excel one while the Arduino serial monitor or serial plotter are engaged. I have not tried with a com number as high as 26 but it should work. I have seen websites explaining how to reset the com number assigned to the device in windows. You could try that.

      @@overengineeredinoz7683 that's correct I already figured out that I had to close the monitor from the arduino to use it on the Excel, thank you very much!

    How to use data streamer to plot real time voltage against current graph from the Arduino sensor?

    • @overengineeredinoz7683
      @overengineeredinoz7683  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What component are you trying to measure current through?
      If it is a resistor you could measure the voltage on both sides and then calculate the current.

    I want to import real-time barometric pressure data from an Arduino to an OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet. I am using OpenOffice Calc, because it is freeware and it still supports Windows XP. Could someone please tell me how to do this? I am not finding the information. LibreOffice Calc has the Streaming function, but it is not operational, yet... Meaning, it is grayed out.

    • @overengineeredinoz7683
      @overengineeredinoz7683  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't any experience with OpenOffice Calc so unfortunately don't have any advice. I would be interested in hearing about it if you succeed.

    what happens if you record the data for about 2 days. can the add-in handle it? or do you know what is the data in limit of this?

    • @overengineeredinoz7683
      @overengineeredinoz7683  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not tried that. I adjusted the settings to record 200 entries but I think It can be a higher number. I am not sure what the limit is. If you are taking many readings over days it might not be the most practical way to do it.

    how did you increase the number of rows? (Mine has maximum 500 Rows)

    • @overengineeredinoz7683
      @overengineeredinoz7683  ปีที่แล้ว

      On Excel Worksheet called "Settings". You can set the number of rows it keeps with the setting called "Data Rows"

    hi! I can't see the Data streamer option in my excel what to do?

    • @overengineeredinoz7683
      @overengineeredinoz7683  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the Data Streamer option became available in the subscription (Microsoft 365) version of Excel. if you have an older version it may not be there. You could upgrade excel or use the manual cut and paste method as per the video titled: Oscilloscope using Arduino (ExcelOscope: part1: Building it)
      Also make sure when you do File - Options - Add Ins that you are choosing "COM add ins" in the drop down menu not the default "Excel Add Ins" before pressing the Go button

    hi. is there anyway we can save the data with the timestamp?

    • @overengineeredinoz7683
      @overengineeredinoz7683  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On the automated worksheet called "Data In" that excel fills in with the data it receives it has a column TIME. That column contains the date/time that the data was received.

    • @user-ed9od1od2q
      @user-ed9od1od2q 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@overengineeredinoz7683 yes, but when you save the data, the date/time not appeared. it only shows the data recorded from the sensor
