there's this youtuber called General Sam, and he had him as a guest on his podcast twice. the podcast is called forehead fables and its usually just The Boys goof'in and gaff'in and Wendi's first episode is mostly just him laughing his ass off at their jokes lol, but the second one is almost entirely just Wendigoon telling a few really long really good stories. he's an AMAZING storyteller and it was really fascinating watching those chud's learn about God lol.
but yeah, TLDR if your looking for more good story teller moments from him, HIGHLY suggest that second episode of forehead fables he was on.

      For the most part.
It all gets real shaky when he starts talking Christian stuff, based on what his pastors have told him I'm guessing.
Because, you know, "satanic cross being an inversion" when the symbol is well documented as being a Christian symbol until the 60's.
It comes from St. Peter being crucified upside down because he refused to be put on the same level as Jesus, it was a humility thing.
Also, the whole unironically believing Satanism was ever really existed and wasn't just something Christians labelled various forms of Paganism/Occultism.

I wish he was more accurate.
Like a lot of the Satanic imagery we see today that he mentioned is modern.
For example, the pentagram isn't suppose to be just an inversion of a regular star, it has a more detailed history among different cultures and religions.
The upside down cross is originally a Christian symbol of St Peter who felt unworthy of being crucified like Jesus so he requested to be crucified upside down.

His objective and non-biased approach to the subject of religion has kind of fostered a community where people from different religions or people who aren't religious can talk about their beliefs and educate each other without being hostile. That's a crazy feat online.

He’s a Sunday school teacher! It’s literally his job to help others learn about the Bible! Was never really religious myself but through watching his rise from the very beginning (the algorithm blessed me w his 1st ep of the conspiracy iceberg) I’ve found myself to be more curious about the word of the lord and I’m even beginning to seek it out on my own. I find a lot of religious Christian’s to be… um… quite over enthusiastic… I guess would probably be the least offensive way to put it… , myself. So his way of not being pushy and simply connecting stories he hears (whether it be folklore or related to true crime or whatever the case) to what he knows and is comfortable with and not being the type of “you know I think THIS and if you don’t, you’re just dumber than me” Christian most of us encounter is incredibly refreshing! I think the actual creepy aspect of Anasi's Ghoatman Story is that the campers consisted of two separate groups, who knew the members of their own group but weren't that familiar with the people in the other group. The Goatman would appear in the form of an extra person, hanging around with them and everyone in both groups was under the impression that the person belonged in the other group.

As far as I can tell the science-based goatman legend exists because there were a lot of government experiments going on in Maryland at the time. All the FBI’s experiments with LSD were performed at a now abandoned mental hospital in Maryland called Spring Grove, which is now a popular spot for teenagers to sneak out to at night.

When I was like 9 or 10 years old, I watched a TV show special about the Maryland Goatman, and I became so infatuated with it that when we had to make a poster about something we liked about our country I did mine about Goatman. Now, imagine this, you're a teacher at a Christian school, and in the middle of all of these little presentations about cultural landmarks and historic events, the quite kid in the class then comes up, opens their poster filled with images a demonic goat creature and they start telling stories about families being butchered! 😂 needless to say, the teacher wasn't all too happy lol

Grew up in Lewisville TX (in denton county) and visited the old bridge many times with friends. The lore of it goes; a cheating husband was caught by his wife and she cut his head off and sewed a goat head in it's place then hung him from the bridge. He later disappeared and was said to show up if you stopped your car on the bridge at night and ran around it three times. On one of these trips with friends we got out and noticed men in KKK robes on the bank of the river walking/dancing around a fire and got so goddamned freaked out we stopped our little ritual and got in the car and immediately drove away as fast as we could.

I remember learning about goatman on a hike. Our neighbor didn't time when we'd cross a specific covered bridge properly. Rather than crossing it, she had us turn around and take a more complicated trail to cross the river. When we asked why she explained that the goatman shows up on that bridge twice a day in a very short, very specific window, and when she was younger, she tested that out at the night time window and had to hide under the bridge for a handful of minutes while his hooves clopped on the wood above her, pacing the bridge.

There is no goat man, and no one here believes there is one. Yknow what’s right next to the bridge? A public park, giant gas station, and houses. It’s not even in a small town or rural area. Might as well be apart of Louisville it’s so close. It’s so surreal seeing giant TH-camrs discuss a silly little half forgotten town mascot as if there’s a possibility of it’s existence. People on the internet remember this thing more than the people who live 2 doors down from it. I’d walk across it on FaceTime with you guys if you wanted.

I'm from Texas and there's a lot of goatman legends across the state, but the one I know the best is from the town I grew up in. Nearby there's a creek, road, and bridge that all go by the name 'Old Foamy', due to there at one point in time being a lot of foam on the creek. It's surrounded by heavy brush and tree coverage. Going back as far as the 1960s, like the other instances talked about in the video, legend says that goatman could be summoned if you stop your car nearby, turn off the lights, and honk the horn 3 times. After doing that, goatman will charge out of the brush and throw dead animals, rocks, and other debris at your car, before jumping on and scratching it up. It used to be a sort of hazing initiation to take the local high school freshman out and make them walk the road at night. The things that make the legend more interesting is that the area is also associated with death and the occult in general. Often times murdered bodies are found washed up around the bridge, lots of car accidents resulting in deaths occur on the road, the remains of missing pets are often found around the bridge, signs of cult ritualistic sacrifices have been found by the creek, and even reported demonic possessions in the RV park next to Old Foamy have all surrounded this stretch of road for almost a century. I remember driving the road before I knew the lore surrounding it. It always left me unsettled even then and I hated driving it alone. As far as confirmable occurrences, I can only confirm some of the deaths by car, the reported possessions, and the cult activity, as some of my family members came across the sacrifices and remains while a family friend was supposedly at one of the exorcisms of one of the possessed. Might try to dig and see if I can confirm any of the other bodies found.
It was fascinating to see the connections the legends in my hometown have with the ones across the nation, and all in all was just a great podcast to listen to. Can't wait to see what y'all cover next!

Now that I think about it, the stories of goatman sound remarkably similar to what "Schlatt" did in 1999...

Believe it or not, I've actually had two encounters in the woods at night with creatures very similar to the goat man.
The first had the head of a goat and the body also of a goat.
The other was the head of a man and the body also of a man.
Both were harrowing experiences for me.

Hearing Wendigoon talk about why satanists would sacrifice goats makes me wonder if it could be that that was an inversion of what he was talking about earlier where goats would symbolically take sins upon them and then be driven out. If that's the idea, then what happens to those sins in a symbolic sense when you slaughter a goat? Symbolically you're rejecting being relieved of your sins. What then? You would be symbolically making the choice to remain in sin.

This is my goatman experience. Disclaimer: I went to Humboldt State, where the incident occurred, sooooo... Some friends and I got bored with our incessant Mario Kart playing (this was like 2003, so late night activities for nerds was somewhat limited). We decide to hike the redwood forest at like 2am, as one does. As a troupe of morons, things progress as one would imagine. However, we get to this canyon that has a remarkable delayed echo. We play with this, shouting, "boobies!" or "anal!" This was all well and good. Then my roommate screams, "DIE!" and it seems that the strange acoustics of the canyon hurl her epithet back at us in much more of an ominous way than anticipated. We decide to hightail it out of there. All the forest noises have disappeared, and we're doing an excellent job of freaking the fuck out, as one would expect of nerds hiking the redwoods around 3am. We stop for a second so that one of our party can piss. Then my roommate grabs me in a hushed panic and stage whispers, "What the fuck is that?? Tell me you see it!" I'm too chickenshit to look, but others in my party (I guess we're D&D now?) do, and great panic ensues. We fly down the canyon, huffing out moisture in the cold night. Because apparently, whatever was seen had horns and was standing upright on two feet. It was dark out, but its eyes gleamed with chatoyance. It may have skulked, I don't really know. We make it back to the dorms and promptly play Mario Kart until the sun comes out.
About a year later, and I know it wasn't related, really. But... I had graduated and got my first big girl job. I lived alone in a small house in Grover Beach CA. I dreamed that I was in the forest again, standing in a dilapidated cabin, staring at the even more dilapidated front door. My dread was off the charts. I open the door, and I guess I see goatman. He's like almost pearlescent, glowing chatoyant eyes, horns. And he skulks in this weird uncanny way, like old clymation. I wake up before it can enter. And I'm so freaked out, my mouth is bone dry and I'm shaking. Worse news is, there is no Mario Kart to salve my battered soul. The End.

That must have been a fun night. I haven't looked much into goatman, mostly only sasquatch and dogman, but I've heard a few stories. Like a few other cryptids, they seem to hang around cemeteries, they also seem to be more paranormal than flesh and blood, but I do remember one story in particular about a guy who claimed his property was terrorized by them. He said they'd be seen in the trees and eventually he shot a couple of them. Actual goats like to climb up into trees, but I can't imagine seeing bipedal human-ish goats sitting in trees. Haha, that would give me a heart attack.
People have claimed to have seen basically every creature you can think of walking around on two legs. From lizards, goats, wolves, cats, baboons..the Egyptians were obsessed with these chimera type creatures, which kinda makes ya wonder why. If monkeys can evolve into us, maybe at some point in Earth's long history other animals evolved into something similar..or it's all been made up.

I wish I had Chatoyant eyes. I also wish I knew what that meant. Good story though! You guys might have really lucked out that night. My party always had Cat Man sightings. Like a Bigfoot but way lankier and sinewy. We saw that nerd probably 5 times over the course of 3 years. Was always more afraid of him than of kidnappers or tangible animals.

As someone who went to school in Maryland, its interesting to hear them talk about goatman and the legends of him in the state, because its actually really well known over here. My first introduction to goatman was actually in the 8th grade. It was tradition in our middle school that on one of the last days of 8th grade, one of our old ass history teachers (who had been at the school forever) would get us all together in the library to dramatically tell us the story of goatman. It went kinda similar to what they mentioned in the video; that a couple drove to a remote area by a bridge to make out, but were getting tormented by the sound of hooves around their car. Where it deviates however, is that the man actually leaves the car to go check what the noise is, and while the girl is hiding in the car she hears violent banging on the top of the car. She is too scared to leave, and in the morning the police come and rescue her, but tell her not to look back at the car... however she does, only to see that goatman had killed her boyfriend and left him hanging by a tree above their car.... So, in Maryland legend, goatman is actually pretty violent and this story scared me for years lmao
