I don’t wanna start anything but the dance isn’t inspired by the haka bc Chan and Felix are Australian. If I’m not mistaken the haka is a war song/cry of the Maori people native to New Zealand not the Aboriginal people native to Australia? Please correct me if I’m wrong
@@bobbi1824 Your correct, the Haka is native to my home New Zealand. But what it is, is not a war cry, it depends on what it's for, for our army a.k.a the military, it's a kind of ceremony of sorts where we send our soldiers off to war, we don't call it a ceremony but it is our tradition and we take pride in that. For the rugby league, The All Blacks perform their Haka as a challenge to their opponent and sometimes it can be seen as intimidating. That's what a Haka is and we Maori's are proud of it.
Chan said he was mesmerised by Haka dance he saw.. Thus he got really inspired to incorporate it to the song.. Actually i think he created the whole song with the meaning of Haka in mind..
This choreo is actually inspired by haka..the leader, bangchan loves and respect the culture (?) so much that he wanted to include it in the choreo..so here it is..he also included some of the haka words in one of their song (3racha song to be exact) called ZONE *I'm not sure if i should refer haka as a culture..im sorry if i'm wrong
It's not exactly a culture per say, it's more like a tradition. The men in our country, New Zealand, are the one' that perform the Haka and what the women perform as well but what we call it is called Kapahaka. Kapahaka is similar to the Haka but unlike the Haka, Kapahaka is of the singing and the dancing. A song in Maori is called a Waiata, our Waiata could be about the gods and thanking them for giving us life and food or it could be about our homeland and how Maori's came to be. The women learn the lyrics to the Waiata and then the dance moves, the dance is also our way of telling the audience a story. The Haka is a tradition that has been passed down for generations and we're still keeping it alive. If your interested, come visit our country, New Zealand some time, we'd be happy to have you.😊😊😊
