  • In this video I am making a voltage divider with Opto Isolator for CNC plasma cutter, then I will use it for height control with arduino.
    With a new method I developed, Mach3 USB control cards that do not support THC will also have THC, stay tuned.

      Teşekkürler evet arduino ile z eksenini kesim anında yüksekliği korumak için kullanacağım, aslında daha önce daha basit bir voltaj bölücü ile yaptım bunu fakat kararsız voltaj okumaları yüzünden pek sağlıklı çalışmadı.

    Ahh yes, great people doing open source again. THANK YOU A MILLION, building JD's plasma currently will integrate this into cheap parkside plasma cutter. Will maybe create video about it. :). Are you interested in spinning it with PCB design? Would buy it from you.

      @@RokasSondaras The circuit draws a very low current such as 0.12mA, you can use it by regulating it to 12v with LM7812 before voltage input.

      Yesterday, in the simulation, I measured the current drawn by the LM358 only without the B1212S.
      I just had the opportunity to measure the real circuit with B1212S. It drew 4.77mA current. This is not a problem for LM7812, but I am writing it for correction purposes so that my other followers can read it. Good luck.

    If anyone would like this PCB populated with everything but the HCNRR200 I have 3 extra. When you purchase the PCB they make minimum of 5. I am in the USA would prefer to only ship in USA.

    Nice video and great documentation! I would like to try this on my JDsGarage plasma setup. I am attempting to continue using a 3 in 1 HF plasma cutter (Amico CTS-180). Height is critical. I do have touch off for torch initial height setting before each cut, but would like to add the THC.
    I have a question, why can't I use 5v instead of 12v? The LM358 and HCNR200 are okay with it?

      LM358's They can operate at supply voltages as low as 3.0 V or as high as 32 V.
      HCNR200 1 LED and 2 Photodiodes, they have different voltage supplies.
      Recommended Operating Photodiodes Conditions 0-15v, LED are 2.5v at 35 mA.
      However, in its position in the circuit, the HCNR200 LED fed by resistors and LM358 is limited to 1.56v 8.5mA. Photodiodes are 10.1v and 0.04mA.
      Surprisingly, when I applied 5v in the simulation, the output did not change, so it is still 1:50.
      The only thing that has changed is the 10.1v on the Photodiodes decreased to 3.09v
      I think yes, it can be used with 5v, but B1212S should be changed and 5v compatible B0505S should be used instead, or alternatively, 2 different independent 5v supply sources should be used.

    Can I consider this voltage divisor as a 1/50 divider usable with the THC of the PROMA 150 SD SIGNAL/DIR model model

      Hi Michel, as far as I know, PROMA 150 SD has an internal voltage divider, it can also be used with an external voltage divider and according to the information given, its external input is max 10vdc.
      According to this information, yes you can use it. In my tests I got about 2VDC from the output with 100VDC from the input.

      @@michel54000 "Because I don't want to bring the HF into the electric cabinet" I understand the reason better now. Yes, I wouldn't want that either.
      The circuit must be fed with a 12v power supply due to the HCNR200(Opto-Isolator) and LM358(Operational Amplifiers) components used, otherwise it will not work.
      I did not measure the voltage range to be used for the supply. A different supply can be used, but I recommend using 12v as this will affect the output voltage.

      Yapılamıyor ancak plazma makinesine müdahale edilerek ek elektronik derve ile yapılabilir mach3'te spindle için devir değişme çıkışları kullanılarak bu yapılabilir ama buna değmez

      @@emreturhan2991 çünkü plazmanın gücünü genelde çoğu kez aynı tutuyoruz keserken 50cm sonra malzeme daha kalın veya ince olmuyor bir de şu var 80A ayarlı makina 3mm yi de 10mm de aynı amperle kesebiliyoruz incede daha hızlı kalında daha yavaş bir hızla kesiyoruz yani akım 10mm kesecek şekilde ayarlı fakat aynı ayarı kullanarak 3mm yi daha hızlı kesip zamandan kurtarıyoruz

      Ini beroperasi pada rasio 1:50, yaitu, jika Anda memberikan 100v pada masukan, Anda akan mendapatkan sekitar 2v pada keluaran, rangkaian tidak memberikan keluaran 5v yang konstan.
