I havent painted or played in some time now im on some pretty heavy treatment wich is working but the side effects leave me in a bit of a shit so its different but ive lost my self lad and dont know how to get me back so i get the loseing your way good on u for getting back up and moving forward well done
I'm sorry that you're going through all that! I hope that the treatment helps you though. I also hope that you are able to get back into the hobby when you're ready, and that You're able to enjoy playing and painting again!

Thank you! And yes, I am planning on making more Five Parsecs videos! I was just thinking last night that I need to get things setup again so I can record that. I'll be uploading the first few episodes here over the next couple of weeks. I want to get all my content moved over slowly. This video in particular was very difficult for me to make, but I think it helped me immensely.
As someone who lost their partner to cancer back in June and is still struggling with that creative block, you have my deepest sympathies. Like seriously, I'm not ready to get back into it without Calypso in my life.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my dad to cancer when I was a kid, so unfortunately I'm able to relate to that a bit. Losing someone is never easy, especially when it's someone that close to you. I'm no therapist or expert or anything, but I have experienced loss. Someday your creativity will come back, and you will be able to enjoy the process again. Don't force it or rush it, because we aren't fully in control of our journey with grief. I hope that you are able to heal and someday get back into the hobby.

The TL;DR was I was thanking you for your words, commiserating with your loss, and trying to empathize with the grief as best as my autistic ass is able, but it's all gone now. Damn. Anyway, yeah, it'll be a while before I'm back to it probably. I know it's the grief, but I'm going to lie to myself and keep saying it's the ambient temps keeping me from doing any 3D printing. (insert "rofl" emoji here, I'm not trying to again or I'll probably lose THIS comment, too!)

I'm not super active on TH-cam (though I do watch a lot of videos, helps keep the brain active while I meander about the day). I'll eventually get back into it, I've got a huge backlog of several months to print from Loot Studios, Cyberforge, and Station Forge to print, among others. Not to mention I'd like to get back into painting and wargaming. It's just... Empty now.🤷♀ I'll check out the discord when I've got the spoons for social things. Right now is... Solitude is good.
