- Without further adieu, as promised the exhaust comparison between the Akrapvovic Full Titanium System and the Arrow Slip On Exhaust.
The Akrapovic system is significantly lighter than OEM and by far the best system on the market for the +13 Daytona. The video really doesn't do the "growl" of this system justice....ENJOY!

I can't find the Arrow or Akra exhaust anywhere. Where can you purchase the Arrow?
Not sure what distributors are carrying them. There's brand new ones on Ebay for the Arrow Slip on and the Full Akrapovic which is a limited production system.
Have a look at the Austin Racing GP Slip on. So sexy for a slip on system.

Where did you get this exhaust? i know you commented and said it was from riders discount but i cant find it on there website. Did you get anothers bikes exhaust for it or was it made specifically for the 675?
You have to call them to see if they have any left I know Akrapovic only made 200 of these so they might be out. No this system was made for the 675/R by Akrapovic Race division but were not sold commercially from what I understand. Could also try Ebay, looks like there's one on there too.

To be honest, these triples sound so “bad” on video compared to real life. It is just the most amazing sound ever if you add that induction roar! An amazing engine and perfectly balanced machines.

ive just brought a 2013 Daytona R and it has the arrow exhaust and tbh I really like the look and the sound I use to own a 2010 Kawasaki ninja and that had the M4 GP and that was an awesome sounding exhaust but I really do like the sound of the arrow although the akrapovic system you have sounds sweeeeeeeet dude good on ya
The Arrow wasn't bad but I just needed something louder without the ExUp motor. Nothing bad to say about Arrow at all other than my preference is louder with less restrictions. Titanium is a bonus too. =)

Did you still have the baffle in the Arrow?
I'm running the Arrow slipon on my Daytona with no baffle and no exup valve. I'd love to install the Akra full system too

Hey Red,,, i forgot to ask,,, are you using the arrow map for both of em?? cause im sold on that Akro vs the Arrow i just wanna over fuel mine for a bit to get some flame action kickin!!! i know 2 less hp bad for the exhaust valves but. i like fire!!!! shes still amazing too buddy i cant believe im the last comment from 6 months ago!!! Originally I had the Arrow map, when in had the exhaust and power commander installed they uploaded Power Commanders "full exhaust map." Shortly after I had the bike professionally dunno tuned with a custom map.
I'm looking at going this route. Currently just have the stock system on the bike.
Did you have the dealer put one of the other (arrow) exhaust maps on the bike to accomodate this full system?

Still somewhat curious on if you started with an arrow tune as a baseline. Looking for your input so that I can make this system work effectively.
+Kyle Spalding It did have an arrow tune when it had the arrow slip on. Then I uploaded a different tune from a friend's Auto tuner after I had the full system put on. Used it for 2 weeks until last Monday when I had a custom tune done at the dyno tuner.
+Kyle Spalding Personally the Arrow tune sucks but it's better than stock. Very rich (fat) which robs power. Custom tune or PCV with auto tune is the best way to go.
+Redline87 was under the impression these ecus were locked and couldn't really be fooled with. Granted those forum posts were old.
Was aware of the issues of running one of the arrow maps. Looked into going with the full arrow system, but would much rather go with this akrapovic system.
I've not had much experience with the PCV, but need to learn. Your build is coming along great!
+Kyle Spalding Yeah with the 13+ Daytona the ECU's are locked. Power Commander 5 piggy backs off the ECU which the tuner uses to adjust A/F ratios. Mine rides completely different now. Bike is so responsive. Couldn't be happier with it. PCV are easy to use.

Is there a noticeable difference (low and top end) in performance between stock and full system with the tune? I am tossing the idea of going full exhaust and tune. However if there is not a huge difference in pull off the line as well as on the freeway, It would be a waste of money to me.
Huge difference. More throttle response, better power delivery. Only way to get the most out of the full system. Good air filter, block off plates, power commander 5 , full system and custom tune. Bike will run better than ever.

Not on the website. Riders Discount used to have them but not anymore I hear. Last I checked Ebay was the only place I found any.

The bends and welds are much more precise on mine and it doesn't have a cat or servo motor. The Akra is built so well it doesn't even need exhaust gaskets

Exactly, MJS makes headers as well but require a mid pipe (links header with slip on).

+Nick5220 - Absolutely love it. I've ridden some of the meanest bikes around BMW HP4, KTM RC8, R1's etc and this is certainly my favorite. Handles like a dream, solid all the way around.
I'm not one to say what you should get for a 1st or 2nd bike. I can tell you the 675R is a rocket compared to an R3 (which I've ridden.) The power is very linear and manageable. I will say at the end of the day you control how much throttle you give it. Bike is solid and the nicest middle sport bike on the market IMO.

Akrapovic hands down.
Have you checked to see if you've got secondary air injection on the 675? My Speed Triple dropped most of its valve chirp after I removed the SAI system and butterfly valves in the exhaust ports. Love the exhaust sound of the triples, but that sewing machine valve chirp annoys me.
+MotoErgoSum I love the sound of the airbox. Got even louder when I did the BMC Filter swap. The Daytona has the single air intake flows between the lights into the airbox which is HUGE. Now combined with the sound of the Akrapovic shes perfect....just gotta get her tuned.

Forgot that the Street Triple and 675 sounds a lot better than the old 955 and 1050s. The Daytona I test rode had an angry growl to it compared to my 955i or my wife's old Sprint ST 1050.
Yup in 2006 when the 675 replaced the older 650 it was a ground up redesign....Triumph nailed it with this bike IMO. Love this machine.

+adam dumas It will fit. it's exactly the same bike. This was a limited production Akra which was built before the 15's were out. Call TJ at riders discount to confirm but I'm 100% sure it fits. Only changes between 14 and 15 are the color of the R's stickers. Same motor, frame, etc

Beyond happy. The Daytona is not slouch and I never have a problem keeping up. If I were to add to the arsenal (not sell my Daytona just add another supersport) it would be a BMW S1000RR
AWESOME SOUND BUDDY...and by the way I'm 5'11 and when i rode it, somehow I found that commuting on such a compact machine would be very uncomfy. Do you commute on this bike..?

+Andre khoury I like the look of the TaylorMade and had I gone with another slip on it probably would have been that one. However this system is much lighter that the OEM stuff and the performance gains are much higher with this system. Titanium burned piping ridiculously sexy with this system. =)

My opinion this is my favorite of the bunch. Very fun bike, very light and nible, power is very linear with the 3 cylinder. The BMW is ridiculous but personally I like how nible the Daytona is.

They do but they are only good for 5 years or so. I'm not at a point where I need the benefits of lighter wheels in order to go faster. Not pushing the limits of the bike yet with my riding. Maybe one day.

Weird how quiet it is with the arrow, my Street triple sounds just as deep, with a similar note.
+Flash_BeeZy Arrows tend to run on the quieter side for the Daytonas especall retaining the SAI system. The Akra is much throatier and removes all restrictions.
+Redline87 which is weird, my Street triple sounds almost just like your akro and we share the almost the same engine. Baffle removed in my arrow though.
+Flash_BeeZy Baffle removed or just the DB killer? I've seen guys gut the arrow and delete the cat that sound much better. Check out GoProChicken, hes got s triple anf an Arrow. My Akra sounds good but the 12lbs of weight savings is what I was after.

Arrow is solid. They've made some nice systems and are noise compliant everywhere. Stock midpipe and header are heavy. Buddies of mine use the Arrow slip on and MJS headers with custom midpipe and it sounds smooth
