I agreed with everything you said! A lot of people gave the book a 4 star or lower because there was "not much going on" according to them, but to me it didn't feel that way. All the twists and turns in the book were well enough for me, but again that's just my opinion! The only thing I really was disappointed by was the ending too, I would have been much more satisfied with either a dark turn as you said or in contrast things working out better :/

Plot driven books are always more popular, but ones that focus in on character usually end up being my favourite!
*Vanishing Half & Such A Fun Age* were such great reads! *The Farm* was available on LIBBY to borrow, so I'll give it a try!
