    Been using the Shinko 505 on my Beta for the last two years. Love it. Used a buddy's bike for a three hour ride this weekend. He runs the medium Starcross 5. So much tire spin. As long as I keep riding steep rocky single track, I'll never go back to a standard compound tire.

    • @mxgryan
      @mxgryan 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      well you cant really compare a gummy tire to a medium compound mx tire lol. His tire would crush yours on the track.

    • @calabskier1393
      @calabskier1393 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mxgryan No doubt that's true. In his particular case, I don't think he's ever riden a track, at least not in the last 4 years that I've been riding with him. He's happy with his tires, so to each his own. The point you make is a good one though - higher performance in one area usually comes at the cost of lower performance in another.

      The Tusk Recon tire is a great tire for the price, and I have seen it in action for about 18 hours and ridden on it for about 1 hour. It's not as good of a performer as the tires I'm showing here in this video. If you are simply talking about the money, it's going to be hard to beat it on a budget. So far the MotoZ Hybrid Arena is doing better than my last AT81 rear.
