We just went to San Juan for 5 days vacation. San Juan Airport has tourist information downstairs. They give us free raincoats and all the Bus routes. We decided not to rent a car since we were staying only in Sanjuan. Bus and train are free for 6 months ( Mar- Aug - 2024). We took the bus and train everywhere. Bus T-5 goes to the Airport - Ocean Park to Old San Juan (the Bus terminal is one block next to Walgreens Store). Since we stay in Ocean Park, we use T-5 every day to go to Old San Juan and do all our activities from there. Free form Old Sanjuan to Airport vice vesa.
wow, the whole train for yourself! great for shooting freely!! right! reminds of Taiwan/Japan... and talking about metros, Taipei metro "arrival melodies" are the best in the world! 😂👍

Cool they use MetroCard machines like we have in NY.
Cool I dont know that. Not sure if balances can work on both cities
@@Departures1 no they can't. Two different systems.
@@ElJibaro718 ok thanks
Just take the T5 from Old San Juan just one bus to Airport. No need to take train
That might be true but I like to take metros in new cities
Puerto Rico is on my list! I’m all about using public transportation whenever possible, so thanks for the video! Super helpful!
The metro is nice but doesnt connect directly to the airport or old town.
Thanks for sharing

Nice and cheap way to get around and not to full either. good video.
It was early on Sunday morning so the trains were empty
That's the right budget way of getting into the centre. The train / metro is so empty.
It was a Sunday morning so nobody at that time.

It was Sunday morning so empty and yes quite like Taiwan elevated with the high rises
How far west does it go, is there a list with the town it passes?
This is the metro and only operates in the city. I started at the westernmost station
The train goes from San Juan (starting at Sagrado Corazón) and ends in Bayamón, passing through Guaynabo if I am not mistaken.
no viaja nadie en ese tren???
It was Sunday morning so it was empty

@@snackwrap2011 thanks for feedback
Yes it does. We have those same machines. I haven't been home to Puerto Rico in ages and would love to ride this subway
