@Erin is not bad at all!!! The sedatives really kicked in asap, so you don't feel weird at all. It felt as if it was a nice nap, not going to lie. I didn't have the strength to get up the moment I woke up, but eventually, that wore out, and everything was fine. I didn't feel tired or drowsy throughout the day, and I really ended up playing games all day.
Katie, thank you for sharing. I often wonder how many people have gotten colonoscopies during the last 20 years since you had your first one on live TV, and how many lives were saved. I'll bet the number is a high one. I've had 7 exams from 1997 to 2018, and the prep is definitely the worst part. But the important thing is that the test saves lives. I posted an article on WordPress about my experiences, and it even includes a brief discussion about your role in colon cancer prevention. I can post the links to the article if you would like.

Katie - love that you are so authentic! I've had 3 colonoscopies and next time will do the Miralax & Gatorade, it's like a medical "Arnold Palmer"! 100000% better than the liquid prep. Love the Wake-Up Call!

The prep is the worst. The procedure is a piece of cake due to propofol being used.
