Hamilton this was awesome. My uncle was a novice chemist back in the 70's. He had the book Psychedelic Chemistry with annotations everywhere. After he got diagnosed with schizophrenia my grandmother saved all his stuff. I eventually came across this book at age 12. Now 38 years old I still own the book. It spawned an interest in Chemistry and psychedelics that I'm very greatfull for. Thanks for this ✌️🍄

How old was he when he got diagnosed with schizophrenia if you don't mind me asking? Was it something he was prone to at all or has a family history of? And was it a life long diagnosis & is he still around/alive?

"Psychedelic Chemistry" was a pretty cool book in that it included journal references so, back inthe day, you could comb the Science CItation Index to find other papers dealing with similar syntheses so you could possibly find "improved" techs with yields, and just like the guy says, yeah, most of the time, the most popular entries had been ripped out of the journals, and you would have to step it up to get the ILL references from other libraries.

I realized about 40 minutes in that I have the first edition Marijuana Potency book. I found it in my grandpa's stuff in the 90's. Very cool.

We have all the worlds information available to us within minutes yet people seem to be getting dumber. It's worse when it's so easily accessible but somehow people still pave the road of stupidity with absolute confidence. Thank you for recognizing that. Although it by no means surprises me that you acknowledge that fact.

Thanks Hamilton. I watched the entire video and read all the comments. The intertwining of psychology and philosophy was intriguing as well as his take on suppression of free speech at universities today with the influence of the left. His future outlook is a bit bleak with AI and humans devouring each other. I did get the sense that his early psychedelic experience seeded his work in the 3D space. One question I would have asked was if he knew Rupert Sheldrake, who along with his talks with Terrance but also his work with plant auxins which remarkably are so structually similar to DMT.
