According to the book Trough the Moon she went to seek Viren because she didn't believe he was dead and she wanted to find out if her parents and Runaan were still alive and if Viren has them. I don't she is dead. She is some where out there and I'm sure Callum and Ezran will find her in few episode time.

When I saw the trailer, it when callum found rayla’s blade and he is heartbroken when he found it.😢I’m very sad that rayla is still missing after 2 year timeskip. I really hope she ok and not dead. 🥺

I honestly find that hard to imagine; my belief is that she's actually gone missing, but to say that she is dead is an overreaction on the viewers part. The fact that Callum found her sword but not Rayla herself could mean something bad may have happened to her but we have yet to know what it is exactly.

It's been a year you've seen the dragon Prince season 4 at least I think so but thank you for the fanfiction idea with rayla and Callum and all that jazz so yeah I still want to take you to the fanfiction idea

The one with Ezran and Callum must have been in episode 1 no spoilers but no I don't think they are mourning for her yet.
Anything real is dead I think she left the sword or that Callum has to go on some journey or whatever and he finds it and she he thinks she's dead but finds her in some place looking for her parents that's dangerous and hopefully rescues her

I watched the film and she was not dead she just ran away to go and look virens body
Actually rayla went to go kill Claudia, Claudia's b, and Claudia's dad then she got Claudia's b and then Claudia showed rayla three coins of her parents and her step dad who I forgot the name of and rayla let Claudia's b go then Claudia threw the bag into the lava and raylas little friend cuddlemonkey named Stella used star magic to grab the bag b4 it hits the lava then rayla opens it noticing it was an illusion and Claudia's bf said that it wasn't nice to trick people so Claudia went back to give rayla the real coin bag and the cave collapsed and Callum was mourning and then rayla some how got out of the cave and the season ends
I was also surprised about Rayla that he wrote on Jason Simpson's Twitter that Calum is like Romeo
