    Great video brother glad to see that all the guys are still keeping the minute man going unfortunately I have a feeling that we're going to have to use this gear sooner than later

    One thing I've experienced but One Shepard really hammered home for me is I, personally, want to be able to open my LBE and even open my top to vent heat. And there are chest rigs that do that very thing. But I'm running a belt.
    Great stuff!

    My set up is 24-48 hours. Never know how long you'll be out there or when your next resupply is. 9-10 mags usually between 2nd and 3rd line set up. Along with 3 liters of water. Usually 1-2 freeze dried food bags for weight reasons and a few high calorie snacks to keep ya going along with water purification. Besides that our set ups are the same for a QRF scenario 🤙

    I just shifted to an eagle H harness, it rides a bit higher than my modernized alice did , so it does better in vehicles (butt pack rides higher) but that not much. However I decided long ago to just suck it up.
    Just been checking and winterizing, gotta have the extra thermal socks.

    Loving the videos and sold my platatac peacekeeper to get your Spectre rig. Feel so less encumbered lol. But I do have a question about the harness. Seems like if I want it to sit higher I adjust the lat straps to the point of being too tight. Am I missing something lol.

      Glad you like it!
      No, you aren’t missing anything.
      If you still aren’t getting the right fit, you could fold the h harness part back itself and tape it up. Along where it lays in your shoulders or chest. That could cut a an inch or 2 out and make it sit higher.
      I should make a video about that

    How did you attach the knife? Good stuff, subbed. I'll see you in my sights soon 🇺🇸

    • @CitadelDefense1
      @CitadelDefense1  ปีที่แล้ว

      So, I had glued a piece of Velcro to it and then attached it to a Velcro strip on the back of the carrier.
      Sadly the Velcro came off the knife sheath so that didn’t work

    I see that you have spray painted your can. You don’t have issues with the paint burning off? I’ve always been told not to do that cause the burning paint will cause some smoke. Great video, keep it up!

    • @CitadelDefense1
      @CitadelDefense1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So I also have heard that, and this is the only can I have painted.
      The can itself has done fine. It survived a 500 round one day rifle class. The paint that DID melt was the barrel for about the first 6 inches behind the can. It didn’t smoke, just got hot and dripped off.
      The can itself is fine. Again, sample size of 1, but so far no issues with the can at all.

      @@CitadelDefense1 Good info. It seems that when people do have paint burn off they are doing mag dump after mag dump, which is not what I’m trying to do(maybe one mag dump to break contact). Are you using rust oleum, or something else?

    Is this all you keep staged? Do you not keep a longer range rucksack (field pack) staged and ready to go?

    • @CitadelDefense1
      @CitadelDefense1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used to, but not anymore.
      My philosophy is that if I need a long range ruck, I’m gonna have time to pack a long range ruck.
